2019 Thor Four Winds
I have driven RVs for 18 years and have rented RVs for 6 years. I now have 8 RVs total ( two of them are new coming, six of them just all new remodels). Over the years, I’ve learned so much about RVs and gained experience dealing with all sorts of situations, so I am always prepared to help my customers!Eighteen years ago, I rented a 30-feet RV from a rental company for the first time. The minimum amount of time you can rent it for was three days, which meant that if you rented it for less than three days, you would be charged for the three-day price. We ended up driving the RV to Santa Barbara. The rental owner only taught us for five minutes. It was overly complicated and full of jargon. I was very confused. The RV itself was also unclean, with a lot of dust collecting in the corners. It also had a strong odor. On top of that, the RV made driving it noisy. The contract stipulated that the RV had to be picked up by 3PM and returned by 11AM after three days, like hotel.
We started our trip in Santa Barbara by cooking a meal on the beach, and also ran the generator for a while. We then drove to the camping ground, connected with the free water, electricity, and sewage. However, the overall experience was very negative. It was smelly and too cold to even sleep through the night. We ended up cutting our trip short, returning the RV the next morning. Because of a traffic jam, we were charged for an additional $100 for being late for 10 minutes. With the various bills pilling up, we felt like the overall experience was unsatisfying. So then we decided to purchase RV ourselves, and also use this experience to share our story with everyone! RecommendationsWe spent $700 to buy a best Dyson for heating and cooling. In winter, we even prepare 6 ways to keep very warm on the RV.
we have a clear listing for each charge, any changes will be signed to confirm before the start of the trip.
No extra charges will be charged without confirmation beforehand.

We rented this RV for an anniversary which did not turn up at all as I expected. The owner was nice and responsive, but the RV was very old and beat up. The lock on the main door was not working. We had to get in and out of the RV climbing over the passenger seat, the cover from the stove was missing and the top of the stove was rattling like crazy while driving. The fridge was extremely smelly and rusted inside, the sink was dirty and smelly, the seat belts on the dinette were missing and the whole rig seemed to fall apart while going over 50 miles per hour. We only rented for two days, we didn’t even sleep in it, we did not use the fridge, or the stove, but upon return the owner charged me for fresh linens and for propane. He did give me 50%off the linens and the propane, but I feel he should not have charged us at all after paying over $1000 for a beat up RV. Our anniversary weekend, which should have been enjoyable, was a missed opportunity due to this RV rental.

Tim kept the RV well stocked with supplies that you would need on a trip. He took his time to show me how everything worked so I felt comfortable. Everything went smoothly and we had a great time and made some great memories.

This was a real nightmare and the worst experience ever. first of all we wanted to rent the RV for just one day and use it only for wardrobe change for the model who was involved in filming an ad, and the second purpose of it was to utilize the generator to plug in all of the equipment's (cameras, sound...etc..), so when we got to the location of filming and turned on the generator we came to realize that none of the exterior electric outlets worked, so we attempted to use the interior outlets and also they didn't work except for one only which we had to run a long extension cord to plug our eqp! and of course we were drawing a lots of juice which caused the breaker to trip, very horrible situations, and upon returning the RV to the owner we explained what happened and of course didn't have an answer as to why those outlets didn't work, but instead, he charged us almost $400 on top of what we already paid to Outdoorsy which was a total of $462.00 which included everything except for the extra hrs of the use of the generator and fuel used! we didn't want to argue with owner since we were already frustrated and couldn't really understand him as he was trying to explain things to us, but the bottom line, this man was charging us outside of the platform which is totally wrong and unethical.
