We were SO impressed with everything about Kate’s trailer, it’s really fabulous! It was my kids first ever camping trip and my first time sleeping in an RV, and I wanted it to be perfect, and it truly was! Everything went smoothly, from the start Kate is a really good communicator- she always wrote back right away and was thorough about any questions we had. She was really pleasant to work with throughout.
We opted for the delivery service (I’m scared driving a big RV and forget about a trailer!) and paid a nominal extra fee since our site at Gualala River campground was outside her normal delivery radius. I love that delivery and set up is available - it’s TOTALLY worth it! They hooked everything up smoothly (recommend discussing with Kate which sites would work best for hook up, she knows that campground well and probably knows a lot of others well too), and I was so impressed by how WELL STOCKED the RV was! She had emailed me a list of what would be stocked there, but REALLY there was SO much more stocked there than on her list. There was every kitchen supply needed including three gas burners and microwave, plenty of disposable and non disposable plates and bowls, utensils and nice coffee cups with lids. The fridge was spacious as well as the freezer, I remember being impressed by how cold it was upon arrival. It kept our ice cream super cold :).
In the bathroom, there was plenty of bath towels and washcloths, amazingly plush and huge beach towels, and even make up remover towels (so thoughtful)! Kate thought of everything- I didn’t need to bring my bug spray, sunscreen, bug bite treatment/hydrocortisone, lots of paper towels and tp, she even had an unopened ibuprofen for us (I believe ibuprofen fixes almost everything). She gave us a box of s’mores welcome gift and even new long sticks for the marshmallows which was so thoughtful and sweet!
The RV itself exceeded my expectations. The space was comfortable, and the bunk beds were perfect for my five year old twins, they had a blast in them! There was even cute curtains all around the bunk beds which was so nice to give them (and us) more privacy. The water pressure in the sinks and shower was amazing and impressive and the hot water came out so fast- I swear it’s even way faster than I get at home! Kate stocked folding chairs and tables (didn’t need to bring mine), and a portable outdoor cast iron grill that we cooked grilled cheese sandwiches and chicken on perfectly. She even had an outdoor grill set with those matches/ignitor thing that was separate from the indoor kitchen utensils! There was salt and pepper, and Kate even stocked two Kinder marinade rubs. We used one and loved it so much on our chicken that we’re going to buy it asap!
All the bedding, pillows and blankets were super soft - I slept on the dining table cushions and it was honestly super comfortable! I learned about clean, gray and black water, and the indicators were so easy to read and they taught me how to drain the gray water which we needed to do twice during our two night trip. It was so easy to do- just pull the lever and wait a couple minutes for it to drain out.
Everything was so clean and new, or at least seemed rarely used. There was lots of lighting, and even a nice light under the bathroom sink that gave it a nice ambiance. There was plenty of windows that could be opened for fresh air, and in the bedroom there was lots of space overhead for extra pillows, storage, etc.
I didn’t know that the RV would come with air conditioning and heating! It worked SO well and fast— I was so impressed! We didn’t need to use it too often, but when we did, it was easy to use and really did a good job at cooling (during the days) and heating (in the mornings).
