1Our overall experience was not good. Communication with the Fireside RV Rental managers was difficult: phone calls always went straight to voicemail, and email replies typically took several days. The whole point of going through Fireside RV Rental (vs. Outdoorsy, for example) is to have a direct relationship with the owner and be able to communicate with them — but that wasn’t the case. Also, the trailer itself was in mediocre condition (bent and rusty stabilizers, interior cabinets in only fair shape). It was delivered without a full fresh water tank — supposedly “to help customers” travel lighter at first, but in reality it felt more like an inconvenience. Who wants to start a trip and immediately have to stop to fill the fresh water tank before the first night? Finally, we had ordered a generator, but on the day of pickup we were told that the only generator available was actually broken. That was a bad surprise with no alternative solution offered. Overall, our experience was quite poor, and we won’t be renting again with Fireside RV Rental.

1.5We rented a camper planning for 3 day trip. Everything started off great, but batteries died the very first night and from there on it was really disappointing with the ripple effect that caused. Key functions you would plan to use such as the Fridge, lights, heater all went out by the second day. We couldn’t even use the awning because it requires power to retract. Then the carbon monoxide alarm started going off every 30 seconds due to low battery reading and we eventually just had to disconnect it to get that to stop. Had the batteries not had these issues, I’m sure it all would have been great. However what was really disappointing was the lack of acknowledgement or any offer to discount or make the situation right. I never did hear back from the contact when we had the carbon monoxide alarm going off for hours straight. It served its purpose for sleep, but did not meet our expectations or anywhere near it for what we paid.
