Hello, we're Brooke and James. Retired van-lifers and current 'weekend warriors' that get out as often as we can to bike, hike, backpack, and travel. Our home base of Missoula is the ideal jumping off point to explore national and state parks, fly fish, mountain bike down mountains, and camp near crystal clear lakes. We're happy to help plan your Montana itinerary and give suggestions to help you experience Montana like a local.

Jame’s van was the best for our Montana trip! It was super reliable for all the driving we did in Glacier National Park. It had everything we needed and then some! Staying in it was comfortable and easy as well! We had no issues with it for the 5 nights we had it and honestly wish we could have stayed longer! I would definitely rent again when we are back in the area!

We had the best time traveling with Toad. The van drove extremely well, was clean and comfortable, and communication with the host was very easy! We would definitely do this again!

Today was absolutely fantastic!! I only gave 4 stars for mechanical, as the back fan over the bed did not work, however we did just fine without using it. James was an awesome host. There were plenty of stocked supplies including bear spray, which we couldn’t fly with so that was super helpful. Would rent again!!!

This is our third van rental through Outdoorsy and our favorite van. Toad isn’t flashy, but has a straight forward, well designed layout, with everything you need for a comfortable adventure while being completely off grid. Brooke and James have thought of all the basics plus the best refrigerator that we’ve encountered. They were easy to work with and very accommodating. Ten days, almost 1,000 miles and everything worked perfectly = perfect vacation.

Toad the Van was awesome! We had it for a week exploring Glacier National Park and loved every bit of it. The communication with Brooke and James was fast and easy, the van was really well stocked and drove great. 10/10 would rent again.

Absolutely phenomenal experience from start to finish! The hosts were exceptionally accommodating, even arranging a 1 am airport pickup amidst my changing plans. The van itself is a marvel—brimming with character, charm, and an undeniable adventurous spirit that beckons you to explore. Despite its size, it drives smoothly like a full-size pickup truck, so there's no need to be intimidated. I had an amazing time and will undoubtedly rent again on my next trip. A huge thank you to both hosts for making this journey unforgettable!
