<h3><b>Understanding Refunds and Costs</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Your total booking cost includes several components, each with different refund rules:</span></p>
<h4><b>What You&#8217;re Paying For</b></h4>
<p><b>Rental Amount: </b><span style="font-weight: 400">The base cost of the rental, calculated as the nightly rate multiplied by the number of nights.&nbsp; Refundability of the rental amount depends on the Host&#8217;s selected cancellation policy and when you cancel.&nbsp;</span></p>
<p><b>Add-ons: </b><span style="font-weight: 400">Optional extras or services provided by the Host such as generators, chairs, bikes, and other equipment. Plus any fees set by the Host for prep, delivery, mileage &amp; generator usage, cleaning, or dumping.&nbsp;</span></p>
<p><b>Protection Package: </b><span style="font-weight: 400">Required excess collision and liability coverage for all rentals. May include a Young Driver Surcharge for drivers under 25 years of age.&nbsp;</span></p>
<p><b>Optional Coverage:</b><span style="font-weight: 400"> Trip Protection, Interior Damage Protection, Security Deposit Waiver, and standalone Roadside Assistance (not included in your Protection Package).&nbsp;</span></p>
<p><b>Service Fee: </b><span style="font-weight: 400">Supports Outdoorsy&#8217;s platform operations and provides Guests with access to 24/7 customer support.&nbsp;</span></p>
<p><b>Taxes: </b><span style="font-weight: 400">Applied to applicable charges based on local and state requirements. Taxes are refunded in proportion to their associated charges. If an item is refunded, its taxes are refunded. If an item is non-refundable, its taxes are non-refundable.</span></p>
<h4><b>Payment Terms</b></h4>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">For bookings made more than 30 days before departure:</span></p>

<p><b>Disputes and Discretion:</b><span style="font-weight: 400"> Outdoorsy reserves the right to exercise sole and absolute discretion in determining cancellation refund amounts and resolving disputes. Guests or Hosts with unique or extenuating circumstances must notify Outdoorsy within 24 hours of the issue arising.</span></p>

<h4><strong>What do terms like &#8216;booking total&#8217; and &#8216;service fee&#8217; refer to?</strong></h4>



<p>The total cost of a rental on Outdoorsy is broken down into three main components:</p>



<ul><li><strong>Booking total: </strong>The direct cost of the rental itself, inclusive of the nightly rate x number of nights, plus any add-ons or fees charged by the host for services like mileage, cleaning, or dumping tanks.</li><li><strong>Service fee: </strong>Helps us keep the lights on and gives guests access to our 24 / 7 customer support team.</li><li><strong>Protection package: </strong>The bundle selected by the guest that can include things like collision and comprehensive coverages, which are active only when the vehicle is with the guest.</li></ul>



<h4><strong>How does COVID-19 affect the Outdoorsy cancellation policy?&nbsp;</strong></h4>



<p>We&#8217;re currently unable to adapt our policies around the pandemic. Though we made exceptions in March 2020, we&#8217;ve since returned to our original cancellation policies put in place for the protection of our valued guests and dedicated hosts.</p>



<p>Before booking a planned vacation or last-minute getaway, please examine the host&#8217;s cancellation policy thoroughly and research how COVID-19 may be affecting your travel destination.</p>


What is the cancellation policy?

<p>An owner’s cancellation policy determines the amount of the renter’s reservation deposit. Flexible and Moderate cancellation policies require a 25% deposit. Strict cancellation policies require a 50% deposit. The reservation deposit is charged to all bookings made 14 or more days in advance.</p>
<p>If a booking is less than 14 days away, the reservation is charged in full. If a booking is more than 14 days away, renters have the option to pay the reservation deposit in two installments—the first being a partial reservation deposit, the second a reservation remainder to be paid 14 days before the booking start date.</p>
<p>The reservation deposit policy applies only to bookings made with a credit card. If a booking is paid with PayPal, the full reservation amount is required regardless of the host&#8217;s cancellation policy.</p>

If the potential winner fails to respond to the email within 7 days or is found to be, in Outdoorsy&#8217;s sole discretion, ineligible or in violation of these Official Rules, such potential winner and his/her entry will be disqualified, and an alternate winner will be selected from all remaining eligible entries. <p>By participating in the Contest, you agree to release from liability and hold harmless Outdoorsy and its parent company, affiliates, and related companies, and each of their respective officers, directors, and employees and agents (collectively, the &#8220;Released Parties&#8221;) from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Contest or the receipt or use or misuse of any prize, or from any trip booked or taken using the prize. Entrants agree to indemnify the Released Parties and any other companies associated with the Contest, including any vendors or marketing agencies, and any third parties who have provided prizing. The indemnity covers all claims made not only by potential winners, but also by anyone participating in the Contest. The indemnity covers both claims arising out of the Contest itself, and claims arising from any use of the prizes.</p>



<h3><strong>Limitation of Liability:</strong></h3>

<h3><strong>Disputes:</strong></h3>



<p>This Contest is governed by the laws of the United States and State of Texas without respect to conflict of law doctrines. As a condition of participating in this Contest, entrant agrees that any and all causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively and solely before a state or federal court located in Austin, Texas. How do I update my payment method?


<p><strong>UPDATE: As of July 2025, Roamly Weather Coverage will no longer be offered to purchase with Outdoorsy bookings. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.</strong></p>



<p>Roamly has partnered with Sensible to provide a product that allows you to purchase coverage for the duration of your trip and be able to receive a refund in the event of bad weather.</p>



<p>Available in the U.S. only, for all RVs, this additional Roamly Weather Coverage provides protection for your trip in the event of unexpected bad weather. Possible coverage is based on information from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).</p>



<p>For example, if it rains more than the amount quoted (based on the NOAA day-of-forecast), then Sensible will automatically provide a refund to you, based on the current weather at the location of your trip.</p>



<p>When you initially purchase coverage from Roamly Weather, you will see some basic information outlining your coverage and its parameters:</p>



<p><strong><em>What to expect:</em></strong></p>



<p><em>A forecasted &#8220;light rain&#8221; of 1.5 mm, or more, for 3+ hours will trigger the daily coverage. We&#8217;ll alert you if bad weather is on the horizon. Don&#8217;t worry, we&#8217;ll only text you if it&#8217;s important &#8211; aka you have money available.          Light rain is when you walk outside, and the ground looks like it&#8217;s been raining, think small puddles. </em></p>



<p><strong><em>How&#8217;s the coverage triggered?</em></strong></p>



<p><em>3 &#8211; 6 hours of rain = $51.93/day                                                                                                                                               6+ hours of rain = $103.86/day</em></p>



<p>This is just an example of what you&#8217;ll see when you consider purchasing coverage. The expected forecast, details, and amount of possible refunds.&nbsp;</p>



<p>If the weather during your trip is considerably worse than anticipated, based on the previous NOAA forecast, Sensible will notify you via text message and issue reimbursement automatically!</p>

<h3><strong>How do I purchase Roamly Weather Coverage?</strong></h3>



<p>Weather Coverage is offered when you make your reservation online for any stationary RV bookings where the RV is delivered and set up at a destination, or for campsite bookings, because the service requires an address to calculate the coverage.</p>



<p>You will also be able to purchase Weather Coverage after your booking is confirmed, from the Trips details page in your account.</p>



<p><strong>Note!</strong> Roamly weather coverage can only be quoted and purchased for trips that are less than three months long.</p>



<h3><strong>Is Roamly Weather Coverage the same as Trip Protection?</strong></h3>



<p>No, Roamly Weather Coverage is a separate offering from both Trip Protection and Damage Protection.</p>



<h3><strong>How is the covered amount determined?</strong></h3>



<p>The covered amount is based on the total cost of your booking when coverage is purchased.&nbsp;</p>



<h3><strong>How long do I have to purchase coverage?</strong></h3>



<p>Roamly Weather Coverage is available for purchase up until the day before your trip begins. If your trip starts today, you will not be able to purchase coverage.&nbsp;</p>



<h3><strong>What happens if I change the dates of my trip?</strong></h3>



<p>Because coverage is based on a specific date range and forecast, if you change the dates of your trip then your Roamly Weather Coverage will be removed and need to be repurchased for your new trip dates.&nbsp;</p>



<h3><strong>Can I cancel my Weather Coverage?</strong></h3>



<p>You have 24 hours after the purchase of Roamly Weather Coverage to cancel it. After 24 hours have passed, then coverage will not be able to be removed without canceling the booking.&nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>Note!</strong> If Roamly Weather Coverage is added within 14 days of your booking&#8217;s start date, then the option to remove the coverage will not be available.&nbsp;</p>



<h3><strong>What happens to my coverage if my booking is canceled?</strong></h3>



<p>If the booking is canceled prior to departure, then the entire cost of Roamly Weather Coverage will be refunded to you.&nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>Note!</strong> If the booking is canceled on, or after, departure then Roamly Weather Coverage will be nonrefundable.&nbsp;</p>
