Charleston, South Carolina
Maybe it’s the cobblestone streets or stretches of gorgeous pastel-colored facades, but Charleston oozes romance. Explore by foot, boat, or horse-drawn carriage and take in the historic elegance and Southern hospitality of the city.
Rent a small travel trailer, like your own little carriage, to take along the streets of South Carolina.
Badlands National Park, South Dakota
To our lovers of the stars, this one is for you! Located in South Dakota, Badlands National Park offers scenic drives, spectacular hikes, and awe-inspiring stargazing opportunities. On any given night, you’ll experience a view of more than 7,500 stars and the milky way!
Rent an all-terrain campervan and park it at one of the park campgrounds or surrounding BLM lands for a day of adventure and a night of serene beauty. There are two campgrounds at the park, but you can also make your camp in the backcountry as long as it’s 0.5 miles from a road or trail and not visible from a trail or roadway.
Ocala National Forest, Florida
For our forest frolickers, there’s Ocala National Forest in Florida. The southernmost forest in the continental United States, Ocala protects the world’s largest contiguous sand pine scrub forest. Paddle through Juniper run, swim in the springs, and hike through the pines.
If you prefer the boondocking experience, you can park your rental rig in one of the dispersed camping areas and take in the solitude. Or choose from one of the many developed campgrounds.
Carmel-by-the-Sea, California
Calling all small-town wanderers to Carmel-by-the-Sea! The quaint California town is rich in history and is full of wineries, boutiques, and ocean views. Take a walk on the mile stretch of white sand on the lookout for dolphins and sea lions. Explore the Carmel Mission. Admire the whimsical architecture.
Rent a vintage ride and head off along the Pacific Coast Highway to the cutest little town in Northern California.
Cannon Beach, Oregon
On the Northern Coast of Oregon, Cannon Beach is a sight to behold. Named as one of the most beautiful places in the world by National Geographic, you’re sure to fall in love with it any time of the year. Hike Neahkahnie Mountain, venture around Ecola State Park, or take a long walk on the beach.
