Bonnaroo is a massive music and arts festival on the scale of Coachella that welcomes all ages. Since 2012, the Bonnaroo festival has been held on a 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee. Easily combined with a camping or RV adventure, the Bonnaroo festival takes place on an incredible summer venue for those interested in outdoor arts experience. Held around the second weekend of June, the festival has a great musical lineup with bands like LCD Soundsystem, Macklemore, Pearl Jam, Death Cab for Cutie, Ween, and comedians like Judd Apatow, Adam Devine, and Bridget Everett. The performers all appear within easy physical access to campers and RV’ers.
There’s more going on at the Bonnaroo festival than just music. Interactive artistic opportunities are available throughout the festival. Be sure to check out the Grind, which offers up coffee, relaxation, and some time to unwind with crafting projects at your fingertips. The Academy is a way for those who are a little more adventurous with their artistic expression to take part in theatre, dancing, and large art installations. Art is happening all over Bonnaroo, so keep your eyes open.
RV and Camping Trip Options
The onsite campground at Bonnaroo is set up for both campers and RVs alike. Bonnaroo RV hookup areas are still within the main camping section of the festival so that music goers will still be where the action is and a part of the festival community. Since Bonnaroo is a family-friendly event, kids will feel safe and welcome in family campers. Families with kids can have a great time experiencing Bonnaroo for the first time making memories.
You don’t need to own your own RV to partake in traveling to Bonnaroo. Outdoorsy has RVs to rent ready for long weekends, or longer trips taken around Bonnaroo. Your family can have the privacy of an RV and still be a part of the large camping community throughout the festival.
