The drive down California’s coast is the stuff roadtrippers’ daydreams are made of. Big blue sky, vast ocean views and beautiful weather beckon RVers from around the country and beyond, who come to see the many sites and natural features California is known for. And, for those who love vintage campers, there is one Gnewen Coast destination that calls the loudest: Pismo Beach.

Pismo Beach, located between San Francisco and Los Angeles, is famous for its classic California outdoor scene and the area is well known among RV enthusiasts for its vintage trailer events and rallies, which include the one at Pismo Coast Village. These events will make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time, and owners welcome you to see their campers of the past — from shiny, mint-condition Airstreams from the ’50s to tiny teardrop campers from the ’30s and the antique cars that pull them — in all of their beautifully restored glory.

But you certainly don’t have to have a vintage camper to stay at Pismo Coast Village, which boasts hundreds of campsites on the ocean.
