1I was originally quoted $2,792.88 for the RV rental, which included $2,000 for four nights, a $150 prep fee, $179.75 for insurance, a $215 service fee, and $248.13 in taxes. To secure the reservation, I made the initial payment of $1,514.43. Unfortunately, shortly after, my nephew was tragically killed in a car accident. My family was deeply involved in funeral planning, and we buried him just three days before I picked up the RV. The check-in process was very slow, and the RV was flooded during setup because water was filled into the wrong pipe, causing it to overflow through the toilet and onto the floor. This RV had a lot of wear and tear. While we had the RV, the rear slide-out did not function, forcing us to operate in a very tight space between the bathroom, bunk beds, and queen bed. Due to the flooding incident, we avoided using the RV’s water system altogether. We also had access to restroom and shower facilities at the site. I informed the owner of this when we returned the RV. I was surprised to see that the bill had been altered to include a $500 delivery fee and a septic dump fee of $150, bringing the total rental cost of the RV to $3,617.03. The unexpected fees significantly increased the cost of the vehicle protection package, service fee, and tax. The $500 delivery fee was never mentioned in the original quote. It was added without my knowledge or consent. I was never informed of the change, and the charges were applied to my credit card while I was traveling out of state and supporting my sister through her loss. I am very unhappy with how this was handled and plan to dispute the additional charges with my credit card company.
