The escape pod is a gorgeous custom built camper with all the aesthetic touches. Cedar, Cherry, Oak and Poplar make this feel like a cozy cabin..perfect for star watching with your love or just doing some solo journeying in these times. A foot pump sink, solar powered everything, refrigerator and queen size bed with a kitchen set up, this is a artists retreat on wheels. We charge a small bit more than some of the factory vans because we built it all by hand ourselves and want people that understand what a special little pod this is. Each piece of wood cut and measured by a master wooden boat builder make this a truly unique way to spend a romantic weekend or family adventure together. What's includedThe Van comes with a double burner coleman stove, 2 propane cannisters, iron skillet, cutlery and kitchen basics. We give you a fresh 5 gallon of water for the sink as well as other things to make your journey easy and fun. RecommendationsWe've travelled the whole country and the entire region. Head to the Appalachian mountains, Assateague to the river for a weekend. Endless adventures await.

Joshua was fantastic to work with and Aurora the van was a delight to drive and stay in! Everything was simple and clean, she got great mileage, pick up and drop off was a dream. Our RV broke down last minute and Joshua was so responsive and helpful, he really saved our camping trip! 10 stars!

This is a big, beautiful, boat of a van. Gorgeous custom woodwork and quality workmanship throughout was inspiring and much appreciated. Josh was gracious and welcoming. He showed us around the van in great detail, and was super flexible about pickup/dropoff times. We took it to the Shenandoah river area on one of the coldest, iciest weekends of the year. With the two of us we kept nice and warm, but we do recommend slippers as the floor seems less insulated than the rest of the van. The most inconvenient thing was the middle seat, which meant we either had to hop over it or open the doors and let out the heat to go from driving to camping. Overall it was great! I can only imagine how much fun this van would be in the spring or summer!
