Matilda is a vintage Shasta from the 60’s and has been given a new lease on life with a recent remodel. She has spent most of her life in the desert of Joshua Tree, California but has recently moved east as our family has relocated.We are located in Winston-Salem, NC. Currently we are offering delivery and setup to local state parks, campgrounds, or vacation rentals. Primarily we have experience with Hanging Rock State Park, and Pilot Mountain State Park, but we are comfortable discussing your camping desires. Matilda makes an excellent base camp for a small party or can be used to add sleeping accommodations to your vacation rental. At only 12’ long and weighing under 1500 pounds, Matilda can fit into the smallest of sites. We are not offering pickup rentals of Matilda at this time, only delivery and setup. She's a vintage gal and we desire to keep her in tip top shape. Let us take the stress of towing and delivery for you.Contact me with any questions about Matilda’s capabilities.What's includedMatilda sleeps 3. The queen bed sleeps two and the dinette converts to sleep a child or an adult under 5’6”. Basic cookware, plates, bowls, cups and cutlery are included. We provide fresh linens and pillows. A battery operated cooler is provided as well as the propane stove. Matilda has a 10 gallon fresh water tank and sink. Matilda does not have a bathroom, so you will need to rely on campground accommodations.
She is ideally connected to electric, but has the ability to operate off-grid.RecommendationsMatilda is true to her age. She is equipped with a vent fan but no AC. She is an excellent addition to any campsite. Other things to noteMatilda is a true western gal. She’s as vintage as they come and proud of it. We are a family of 6 including our two mini-aussies, Reef and Cruz. Recently, we traveled the United States in our camper exploring many national parks, rock climbing, hiking, and engaging in general tom-foolery. We have a passion for the outdoors and for camper supported adventures. We are offering RIC, our camper, for rental so others may partake in these pursuits. We are very experienced RV campers and RIC is very road worthy and battle tested. If you're in the market for a camper, take a test trip and benefit from the years of knowledge and experience we have to offer. Host was responsive and helpful with suggestions. The trailer is quaint and has a homey old school rustic appeal. It was perfect to give us a bit of shelter from the desert in the wintertime. It made the camping experience a total joy.
