We had a fantastic time in this exceptional motorhome! Sandi and Darin were absolutely wonderful hosts — they took so much time to show us around, explain every detail, and make sure we felt comfortable. Everything was spotless, perfectly organized, and they had truly thought of everything. Super friendly hosts who set us up for an amazing holiday — thank you so much! The bedroom in the back doesn’t just have a door for extra privacy — it also features an incredibly cozy bed. We slept like on clouds for a whole week… in a motorhome! The kitchen was very well equipped for a motorhome — plenty of pots, pans, bowls, cutting boards, and even a Microplane, to my surprise. There were enough plates and cutlery for a whole army, which made cooking an absolute pleasure. This motorhome is 100% equipped — nothing needs to be added or rented separately, unlike with most other providers. There was everything you could possibly imagine: firewood, beach toys, a gas grill, a fire pit, tables, chairs, tools, blankets for the campfire, and so much more. Sandi and Darin are true coffee lovers — there were three coffee makers on board, including the largest Bialetti we’ve ever seen! But the very best part was the personality that could be felt in every single inch of this motorhome. It has so much charm and character that we felt at home from the very first moment.

Sandi and Darin were great! They spent a lot of time making sure we knew where everything was and how many amenities they provided. Everything you need, save for food and drinks, was there. It was beyond clean, very organized and felt like a home away from home. Super friendly hosts. Lots of knowledge of the Island. Set us up for a great holiday. Would 100% recommend to everyone...…except we secretly want to save them to ourselves for our next trip!

It was my first time renting an RV, and Sandi and Darren made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. They’re true local experts and even recommended a beautiful campsite right by the ocean—it was absolutely wonderful. The pickup process took about an hour and included a full walkthrough of the RV, a test drive, signing documents, and loading my luggage. They were kind and helpful every step of the way, even allowing me to park my car at their place during the trip. Communication was quick and easy—they always responded promptly. During the trip, they went above and beyond by driving all the way to my campsite to deliver life jackets for the paddle boats. On the return day, Darren kindly offered to take the RV to a nearby gas station to refill the fuel and propane. The RV itself was a beauty—fully stocked with all the big and small camping essentials. So much was included that I actually regretted bringing my own luggage! It truly felt like a moving home with everything you could possibly need. The new automatic awning was a nice touch, the beds were comfortable, there were plenty of blankets and pillows, and everything was super clean! I definitely recommend Sandi and Darren’s RV to anyone. Just remember to pack light and get ready to enjoy the ride!

Rules and policies
*You must have sufficient experience driving a large rig & be verified as a driver by Outdoorsy. • It is unnecessary and hard on the engine, to rev the engine over 3000 RPM to climb hills. She'll get up the Malahat & all the hills along the way doing 70 or 80 km with an easy acceleration. You won't get there any faster gunning the engine and you will drink alot of gas! • Don't enter a parking lot unless you're sure you can make the wide turns required to negotiate it. Always avoid small parking lots or any small spaces as you are responsible for any scratches/damage to the exterior of our motorhome. • Don't go into any drive thru's...Starbucks or otherwise. • Wide turns are the most important. Watch the other cars & let them go first if you need the turn radius room. Especially at intersections... and in parking lots. You're on vacation...so no need to hurry right? :0) • You have a great back up camera, but nothing takes the place of a good spotter going in & out of your campsite & if necessary... parking spots! • Please be courteous. Alot of our island roads are windy, hilly & only 2 lanes, so pull over or use pull outs whenever you can to let drivers behind you go by... for safety sake. Also as recommended by BC Highways, always travel in the right hand lane on 4 lane highways. • If you want to take her off Vancouver Island, we need to know ahead of time. No US travel unless approved. No travel to Mexico.

Frequently asked questions

Q.

What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?

A.

If our motorhome is not booked up to the day before your trip & you would like to pick up earlier than 3pm, please ask & we'll certainly do our best to accommodate you. Also if our motorhome is not booked out right away after your trip & you would like to drop it off later than 11am, please ask & we'll be happy to arrange a later time for you if we can!

Q.

Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?

A.

Our motorhome is a dream to operate but we realize it can be alot. That's why we do a walk through with you & show you everything before you leave. And don't worry...you don't have to remember it all as we have a complete, easy to use manual that we designed that will answer any questions you may have about operating everything. We're just a message, text or call away if you have a question that's not in our manual. (Our guests tell us it's a great manual & they never need to call...lol)

Q.

How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?

A.

We have a section in our handy dandy manual that covers exactly how to set up at your campsite. Whether its an unserviced site or it has all the bells & whistles, you'll know exactly what you need to do. Also we go over everything with you before you take off & answer any questions. :0) Did we mention... our unit has the ability to be completely self sufficient? Water, propane operation & the onboard generator runs everything just like you were plugged in!

Q.

What is the price if I don't want to drive the unit and would like it delivered, set up & picked up again?

A.

If you select delivery, the price of $3.75/km is the total price for delivery, set up & pick up of the motorhome. That covers the gas for the motorhome, the gas for the extra car to return home again for the delivery & pick up trip. For example, you would like our unit delivered to a campground 65 km away from Victoria, your total would be $243.75. Keep in mind then you don't need the road insurance from Outdoorsy that can be hundreds more, only the Stationary Insurance at about $15/day Can.

Sandi & Darren love to camp! We started out years ago tenting & quickly evolved to a truck & trailer... no brainer! Then we switched to an electric car & our first older motorhome. She was a 1986 TravelAire with only 85,000 miles on her! When she got too old to go on all our adventure treks, we got our current slice of camping luxury! We've been Alot of places...especially on Vancouver Island! So in summary...if you need camping, campground or sights to see advice... we got you! Ask away... Our favorite spot is with our surfer kids & grandbabies in Tofino... but there are so many more places to go & things to do & having a deluxe rig now is soooo nice! We hope you'll enjoy her too!
