2008 Mercedes Sprinter
We have a well-maintained mercdes Sprinter passenger van lovingly and meticulously converted to an amzing camper van. Long wheelbase and extra height allowed us to fit all the comforts of home into a compact footprint. We've owned several kinds of RVs ourselves and knew what was needed for maximum comfort and utility.
Being a passenger van the living space is surrounded by multiple, huge windows with privacy film and curtains for nighttime. For a van it has abundant kitchen space with mangowood cabinets, huge Farmer's sink with elegant tapset, propane dual burner stove with safety cutoff switch, and chest-style dual-zone fridge freezer that doubles as a meal preparation surface. It has hot and cold pressure water and a 40 litre water tank.
The van boasts hardwood flooring, a large closet for coats, sweaters and storage, and an odourless Nature's Head toilet with privacy curtain. There are overhead cabinets in the galley plus ample storage above forward seats.Further aft we have an ingenious hydraulically-lifted bed arrangement that doubles as a cosy dinette during the day, and at night you use the remote control to lower the bed for easy access. The dinette seats would be suitable for small children to sleep as there's adequate room under the bed.Once the bed is lowered there are 2 fold out shelves for cellphones etc, individually-controlled reading lamps and cellphone charging stations. There is a wall-mounted cooling fan and floor to ceiling bug screen so rear doors can be left open during the night if desired. There is remote-controlled lighting throughout the van, a forced-air furnace, and a 100AH lithium battery with monitor for accessories. The van is equipped with a 120VAC supply, and can come with a generator for extended stays where there is no power available.Along with the van we supply bedding, kitchen supplies including pots and pans, dishes and cutlery. We also include a massive 13X13 pop-up gazebo tent for inclement weather as well as camp chairs. For those preferring to cook outside we can provide a propane stove and water jug. A propane fire ring and tank can also be provided. The van itself has been well maintained throughout it's life because it was used in a commercial passenger service which is tightly regulated. It has AC front and back, and uses a powerful 3.0 diesel engine that gives incredible fuel economy for such a large vehicle, and yet powers up steep mountain roads without any difficulty. It's equipped with snow tires and there's a backup camera to help fit into tighter spaces.Rain or shine, summer or winter, the van is equipped for all seasons. We welcome pets.Given the extremely high cost of hotel and airbnb listings in the Victoria area, our camper conversion is discreet and can allow "stealth camping" in the region. Additionally there are campgrounds like Goldstream very close to the city that allows easy access to the numerous attractions Victoria has to offer. What's included• Blankets, sheets, pillows
• Dishtowels, dishcloths, personal towels and facecloths
• Pots, pans, cutlery, bowls, glasses, mugs, spatula, spoons
• Coffee, coffee filters, drip filter cone, S&P
• Rechargeable camplight,, flashlight, lighters.
• 13" gazebo tent
• Folding camping chairsRecommendationsSo many places on Vancouver Island! Especially off-season we love going to Jordan River as it allows the best sun exposure in short winter days. Stoltz pool on Cowichan River, Horne lake Caves., Mt Washinton in winter, Bear Point on Malcolm Island, Montegue Harbour Marine Park.
We also know of a few semi-official little-known campgrounds for off-grid adventures.

• At this time we ask for trips just on Vancouver Island and surrounding Gulf Islands.
• We cannot deliver to to a Gulf Island campground.
• We are able to pick up and deliver walk-on customers from the Swartz Bay ferry terminal for a fee of $25 each way. That way no need to pay to bring a car across the ferry.
• Accidental refueling with the wrong kind of fuel (gas instead of diesel) can cause damage costing up to the cost of a replacement engine, and customers must assume full liability for whatever repairs are needed if this occurs. The vehicle is clearly marked in several locations diesel fuel only.
