We also love the ioverlander app to find free spots, and often check alltrails.com for great places to hike/camp.Check out blm.gov/california for yet more amazing places to go; they have a FB page that is active, too. Some of our faves are Sawmill Lake in Tahoe and the much revered Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area.Other things to noteAbsolutely no smoke of any kind in the unit please (this includes no tobacco, vaping, incense, etc.).
Your vehicle MUST have a: 2" hitch receiver, 7-PIN connector, Brake controller*, and be rated to tow at least 4500lbs with hitch rating of 450lbs to ensure you can tow this without issue
*if your vehicle doesn't have brake controller you must rent our $5/day bluetooth controller for your safety; all other vehicle requirements must be met before you arrive to pick up so check owners manual or do a google search for your specific vehicle make, model, and trim.
Trailer exterior dimensions are: 7' 8" high with roof closed, 16' 9" long (tip of tongue to spare tire), 8' wide (includes awning and shower attachments). Box is 10' long (living space).
We are not charging extra for a dog but we WILL charge you for additional cleaning if you do not clean the unit before returning and there is excessive dog hair stuck to walls, mattresses, carpeting, etc.

5Mac was an incredible host. Communication before and during the trip were fast and helpful. The trailer is amazing. Great way to go a bit more off the beaten path and away from the land of RVs and crowded campsites. It was perfect for exploring the Eastern Sierras and the Alabama Hills. Thank you Mac!

Frequently asked questions
Q.
Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
Yes! Come ready to get hands-on practice with Louise's amenities so you'll be a pro by the time you're in the field. It can help if you aren't in a super rush when you're here so we can give you a great orientation. Don't worry - we won't waste time and will get you on your way as expeditiously as possible! ALSO - use the checklists we provide each time you're about to pull away. There are notes neatly placed where you need them too, so just keep a heads up and you should be good!
Q.
What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
We aim to make your experience easy and fun from beginning to end. When you come to pick up, we'll give you a thorough orientation (first time) so you can spend the rest of your time enjoying Louise instead of trying to figure her out. We'll need a 90-minute window to help your trip be seamless without any costly damage. Usual pick up & drop off: 8am - 4pm, Mon - Sat. Alternate arrangements may be possible upon request.
