Pick-up by default at 3pm
Drop-off by 12pm*We will do airport pick-up/drop-off for $25 each way**Local (Traverse City) home drop-off/pick-up $25 each way*What's includedThe rig comes with:- Fresh linens
- Butane portable cook-top (+1 butane canister)
- All pots, pans, cooking utensils, cutlery, plates/bowls, coffee mugs, wine glasses, etc!
- Jet Boil for heating up water quick
- 120v power to charge computers and camera gear
- 4 USB charging outlets in bed area for phones, portable speakers, etc
- A full tank of water to start
- Shore power hook-ups
- State-of-the-art electrical monitoring system right on your phone!
- Passenger swivel seat (we LOVE this thing!)
- Webasto heater (runs off the vans gas tank!)
- Portable Toilet (Add-on! $10/day. Please see details below!)
- The CoolBus is equipped with a GPS tracking system for everyone's safety!Lake Superior Package Add-on ($25)
- Dual burner Camp Chef Teton Propane Cooktop
- Small camp table
- Pop-up exterior tableAdd a Thule T2 Bike Rack for two bikes - $75 flat rateRecommendationsOur favorite thing about the van is waking up in the morning, having coffee, and saying "where do you want to go today?" The road is literally your playground. When you pick up the van, we will have a "pro-tips" guide to where we love to take the van... Both campgrounds and some (legal) boon-docking spots we love! The only thing we ask is to remember that the van is not an ORV. We agree, off-roading is fun and finding "secret spots" to boon-dock overnight is epic! But while the carpentry is solid and the van feels like a tank, it's not indestructible. Keep to pavement and hard-pack roads that you would drive your grandmother on for hours:)Other things to noteJust a few guidelines ahead of your epic journey:- We do require a little information about who our guests are and what their adventure plans are! Please leave a short description when requesting the booking:) Nothing that holds up a booking, we just love to learn about our new friends!- No electrical heating devices (electric tea/coffee kettles, hair dryers/straightening devices, etc). They blow fuses that require hours of work to dismantle the “garage” in order to replace:( This will result in loss of security deposit. We provide a french press for the stove!- When it comes to the portable toilet, we get it... nature calls at strange times. While the toilet is an additional daily add-on, please keep it to "#1s" only... and we'd encourage you to get in touch with nature for those even! Personally, we've never used the toilet and have left it behind on all of our trips to make more room for our outdoor gear. We've always found a place to "go," and try to always go back to our ancestry roots and hit the foliage outdoors (we provide a small shovel)! Either way, up to you - let us know if you select the add-on (otherwise, we leave it out to minimize any potential odor)! Also... As for #2s... we don't like disposing of our own #2s, and as you can imagine, we don't want to dispose of yours:) In all of our multi-week long trips, we've never had an issue finding a place to "take care of business." We ask that if an emergency arises, please dispose of your “work” (properly) before returning. There is a $500 fee if we have to take care of your bio-waste “#2” disposal.- Depending on availability, we can do an early pick up at half a day’s rate. Message us for details!- IMPORTANT! Follow all overnight-parking rules and camping restrictions. Tickets aren't fun and impact the security deposit.- Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day Weekends require a 3-night minimum booking (note that holiday rates apply)- While the van has 400 amp hours of power, it's not unlimited. The van has solar panels on the roof to charge when the sun is out, and also charges the batteries when the van is running... but utilize the apps to manage your power usage so you don't run out! We've added a list of apps below to download before you pick up so we can sync you to the monitoring system quickly when you arrive! There will be a user manual in the van that we'll cover upon pick-up!- You can plug into shore power at campsite hook-ups with the (provided) power cord. This is a great way to charge up the system, and not have to worry about running out. We have details in the manual, and will show you how when you pick up the van:)- Please think of the van like your own home. Be mindful of the small space to minimize dings, as well as use the cutting board and hot pads to protect the butcher-block countertops. Dings and such also impact the security deposit.Apps to download for monitoring:

Just WOW! Everything was great! Mark communicated so well and the enthusiasm for providing this experience is likely unmatched. Everything that was needed was provided. Spent a week in UP with a dog, and our marriage is stronger than ever!!!

We had a wonderful experience renting this camper van. Mark is very easy to work with: friendly, flexible, and accommodating. The van is designed with a simple elegance that combines efficient use of space with comfortable, homey touches. Highly recommend.

North coast vans & Mark & Erin were amazing van hosts!! The van was beautiful and clean when we picked it up, & was stocked with all things you could ever need! We had a great time and would love to do it again!

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
We can meet anywhere reasonable within Traverse City, MI!
Q.Is there a toilet and shower?
A.
We decided not to build in a permanent toilet... if you've traveled in an RV or boat, you know they always have that lingering odor. That said, we do offer a portable toilet as an add-on for a daily rate.
Unfortunately, there is no shower. Mark can tell you how he gets a quick "rinse" outside the van when you pick up the rental... just remember to ask him!
