Frequently asked questions
Q.
What are the sleeping arrangements?
A.
The van has a Murphy bed (sleeps 2) in the rear “cargo area” and a pop top bed (sleeps 2, 400lb weight limit) with canvas sides that lifts up from the van ceiling and is accessed via a ladder from behind the front seats.
Q.
How does the van drive in the winter? Is it equipped with snow chains during the winter?
A.
The Ram Promaster is front wheel drive which is great for winter driving. There are also winter traction tires installed from mid-November until mid-April. The van is also equipped with snow chains, should they be recommended or required while on your trip.
Q.
Can I use the complimentary Starlink when driving?
A.
No, the Starlink system included in the van is Standard Mobile Roam and can only be used while stationary/parked.
Q.
What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
The listed pickup and return times are 3pm and 11am (with 1 hour grace period), respectively. We can be a bit flexible if the van is not booked to return or depart on your pickup or return dates (i.e. same day turn around), although early pick-up and late drop-off fees apply (beyond grace period of 2pm and noon). Please ask about alternative pickup/return times as soon as possible to avoid potential conflicts.
