Responsive, helpful, and accommodating host
Mark is highly communicative, responsive, and made pick-up/return smooth. He provides thorough instructions and tours, demonstrating flexibility, such as allowing a guest to sleep in the van in his driveway.
Smooth, capable, and easy to drive
The "Blue Pheonix" is a clean, comfortable Mercedes 4x4 Sprinter with ample storage, a cozy bed, dry-flush toilet, solar-powered Victron system, fridge, induction cooktop, microwave, and diesel heater. It handles diverse terrain flawlessly with 360 cameras.

5.0Mark’s van was rad. From the second we picked it up in SLC, this thing was dialed in for adventure, super clean, comfortable, easy to drive, and somehow both rugged and luxury at the same time. We took it through mountain roads, early sunrise coffee runs, dispersed camping spots, and long days exploring the Tetons, and it handled everything flawlessly. The setup was perfect: tons of storage, super comfortable sleeping arrangement, and all the little thoughtful details that made life on the road easy. Mark was also incredible to rent from…super responsive, flexible, genuinely helpful, and clearly someone who cares about giving people an amazing experience instead of just handing over keys. If you’re planning a Wyoming/Utah adventure and debating whether to rent a van… do it. And rent from Mark. This van turned a great trip into an unforgettable one.

5.0Mark and his van were both amazing! Mark was super nice, communicative and easy to work with. The van literally has everything you could possibly need for any trip in any climate and all the previous reviews are spot-on. We highly recommend Mark and Blue Pheonix, and would 100% rent again next time we are in the SLC area. Thank you for a great experience! The van made our vacation immensely more fun and versatile.

5.0Mark is an excellent host who made our pick-up and return process smooth and easy. His Sprinter Van was thoughtfully designed by Thrive Crafted Vans of Spanish Fork, Utah. We spent 12 days exploring Southeastern Utah in Blue Phoenix. It offers plenty of storage beneath the very comfortable, cozy bed. There is a Laveo dry-flush toilet that slides in and out of the bench cabinet. The Victron Energy touchscreen displays the solar panel and battery status and makes it easy to turn the AC inverter on and off as needed. The house batteries provided enough power for interior lights, the fridge, and the induction cooktop. We also used the toaster and microwave. Common sense suggests not running the cooktop, microwave, and toaster at the same time. Additionally, turning on the water heater only while driving allows the van's alternator to power it, which helps conserve the house batteries. Remember to turn off the water heater when you stop; the hot water lasts a long time and stays warm into the morning. We did not need to plug into shore power throughout the trip. During chilly nights, we stayed warm in bed, but in the morning we turned on the diesel heater, which quickly warmed up the van. Blue Phoenix is comfortable, powerful, and fun to drive.

5.0What a great Sprinter! We loved the Victron system for controlling everything. The microwave and huge fridge were so nice to have. All in all, we would totally rent this van again. Loved every minute of it!

5.0My sister and I had a such a great experience! We drove up to the Tetons to do some hiking, and this van had everything we needed. All of the van’s amenities worked well, and Mark left thorough instructions in case we were unsure how to use anything. Highly recommend!

5.0We were looking to get away for the weekend and try out the van life, and this rig was PERFECT. The awning is only rated for calm days with minimal wind, which worked out great for the site we camped at. Plenty of storage space, a fully stocked camp kitchen, and a better-than-expected dry flush toilet made this an EXCELLENT choice! Not to mention, it was my first time driving a sprinter and it's a NICE driving experience. Super handy 360 cameras, and just felt smooth to drive. We'll definitely pick this rig again if we want to try out van life again!
