2019 Ford Transit
Gaia or "the spirit of mother nature" is a 2019 Ford Transit van that was my personal home for 3.5 years and is still my baby. She's perfect for a weekend getaway in nature. She'll bring you to some delicious views and will keep you cozy at night. Some of favorite nights have been stargazing on top of the van, playing cards and drinking wine inside the van, or enjoying a morning coffee with the back doors open to an amazing sunrise.Gaia is a large camper van. She's a high roof, extended length version of the Ford transit and it is taller and longer than the Sprinter van. I'm 5'6 and I can barely reach the ceiling with my arms up when standing inside of the van. The van is quite spacious for a camper van.Important things to note before booking:
The bed is a full size in width, but is cut short in length. It was cut to fit me (5'6) and I am able to sleep comfortably with another person of my height or shorter next to me. If taller than 5'6, sleeping diagonally is also possible to give more length to stretch out. Two people that are 5'10 or taller probably would not be comfortable in this bed. The mattress is memory foam and is very comfortable and cozy.Do not book if:
-You are 2 tall people and like to stretch your legs out to sleep.
-You plan on needing a toilet and do not want to stay at an RV park or place with bathroom facilities. (There is no toilet or shower in the van)
-You plan on bringing a petWhat's includedAmenities:
-Mini fridge
-1 burner induction stove
-Small hot water boiler to boil water for hot tea or cooking
-Pan and cooking utensils included
-Dishware included, cups, silverware
-Sink with running water
-Plenty of storage underneath bed (large items) and in overhead cabinets (for clothes, toiletries, etc.)
-Overhead fan that works great and creates good airflow on hot days
-AC/Heater. This only works if you are plugged in to electric power at an RV park.
-Kitchen table for dining or playing cards, games, etc.
-Back doors swing open for nice views
-Solar panels on roof of van
-Can climb the ladder to the roof of the van to stargaze or watch the sunrise/sunset.
-Two camping chairs
-Bluetooth Madewell speaker to jam
-Two shower towels
-1 hair dryer
-Fresh linens RecommendationsI would recommend picking a campsite along the beach or in the mountains and renting a space there for a camper. This will allow you to have bathroom and shower facilities and will still give you great views and a convenient location.RV parks in San Diego:
