Sage was my personal home for over 2 years. Now that I've found a home base, I'd love for people to get to experience adventures with her without me having to part with her permanently.
She has a 2 burner propane stove, a dometic fridge with freezer compartment, 22 gallons of fresh water, a 7 gallon grey water tank that can be removed to empty. 2 Maxxair fans and 2 diagonal screened windows can create a lovely cross breeze. There's also a diesel heater that can be controlled via a remote from the full sized bed.
There is an airhead composting toilet with a separate liquid container that can be emptied without having to engage with the composting section. She comes fully equipped with cook wear, dishes, cutlery, towels, extra sheets, etc.
There is a sliding divider door with full length mirror that locks in place to block off the cab section of the van and makes it feel like a studio.
Completely off grid capable, there is 200w of solar and the battery also charges via the van alternator when you're driving. If you have mostly sunny days and/or drive every other day or so, there's no worry of running out of power.
While there is no water heater, if you're in a warm campsite scenario, the sink faucet can be turned and secured out the kitchen window for a rinse off type shower as a nice plus after returning from an outdoor adventure. I’ve also added a solar shower bag to the drawer of “extras”.
Ample drawer storage within the main living section and underneath the bed in the "garage" for all of your trip necessities. 2 campchairs, extra blankets or fans depending on season, a tent and sleeping bag, and an inflatable 2 person kayak included in the garage to help you maximize your trip.
Here’s a tour video made awhile back. Obviously there are some changes since she’s become a rental, but the general layout is the same, and there’s a diesel heater installed now. Enjoy!

What's includedIn the "house":
Fresh linens and an extra set of clean sheets. Extra blankets. 2 towels and 2 washcloths. All needed kitchenware. Toilet Paper, trash bags, paper towels, hand towels, cleaning spray, etc.
In the "garage";
2 campchairs, 2 person inflatable kayak, 2 person tent (just in case you'd like to sleep outside at any point) (Dog bed and/or cot, a dog stake and tie out to keep your companion close to camp, upon request.)
RecommendationsSalt Lake City, Utah is a hub for tons of nearby recreation of a variety of different landscapes and climates. Boasting 5 National Parks just with in the state, we are a few hours drive away from Southern Idaho and Wyoming, and Western Colorado. There are countless options for a trip route. As someone who's traveled the area quite a bit, if you let me know your general route interests, I can definitely offer recommendations.

Meet your host, Jennifer

Member since 2023

I traveled full-time in Sage since April 2021 and have gone from the southern states to the west coast, down to Baja (where I picked up my road companion, Mama), up to the PNW, over to the greater west and continued on to New England and the Northeast. I've finally circled back and ended up in Salt Lake City where I've settled in a dwelling without wheels for awhile, but would like for others to experience the adventures of Utah and the surrounding areas until I can give Sage more attention again.

Jen accepted our reservation that we booked the night before! She was quick responding and accommodating. The van was clean and equipped with everything we needed. Jen even checked in mid trip to make sure we didn’t have issues or questions!

Jennifer was amazing to work with. She made my first experience renting a camper van on Outdoorsy really easy. I submitted a very short notice request to rent from her while in the airport heading to Salt Lake. The van itself was comfortable and more than sufficient for my needs. I wanted for nothing. I hope to rent this van from Jennifer again.

My experience: Okay.
The hand off was confusing. Sink wasn’t really usable since the water kept leaking from grey water tank which we had to clean up constantly. Side door doesn’t open from outside which I found really inconvenient. The back door had to be closed several times for the light on the dashboard to go away. The brake light kept appearing even when the brake wasn’t activated. The front seats felt tight for me. Otherwise, we got to where we needed to be!

Jennifer’s answer

I’ve responded privately but none of these issues were communicated to me during their trip besides from the door open icon. The back doors aren’t connected electronically so they were not the issue. The slider door def works and I’m assuming the correct unlock button wasn’t being clicked. The water tank was discussed in detail at pick up and the valve could’ve easily been closed. The brake light was an easy google if they would’ve informed me. It was indicating there’s 30% of the brake pads left. Further, I happily offered early pick up, late return and even airport pick up/return IF it’s communicated and I’m able. Alexis never gave me a return time after I told her that the latest she *could* return was 8pm. By the time she let me know at 4 they’d return at 7, a friend had asked me to a show. I asked her to meet my neighbor for drop off and even credited $40 of over milage fee for an Uber and inconvenience. Lastly, they left a burn mark on my wood counter and didn’t even inform me.

We had an amazing time in Sage the van. Even though we'd never used a camper van before, everything was so easy to use. The space is very comfortable and has everything you could possibly need/ forgot to pack. We did a tour of Utah's Mighty Five and couldn't get over how much simpler our trip was because we were traveling in Sage.
