2.0Host was aware of a broken sliding door on the van & did not communicate with us until late the evening before rental = too late for us to find alternatives. Host was not present during the pickup & there were no instructions in RV. This made understanding systems & proper usage difficult. Once we were directly in touch with host he did his best to make things rights & manage the broken door issue. Outdoorsy was responsive but not very helpful - they are simply an intermediary & would not own any of the issues = they do not require their hosts to document usage of the vehicle or to provide FAQs to improve the rental experience. The surprise of a broken RV door made a negative impact throughout our 1 week rental but we were stuck. The RV itself was solid & the host was very professional in managing a bad situation. Outdoorsy was responsive but not helpful & took zero accountability for our experience. They should require hosts to document features of their RVs just like AirBNB does. Would not recommend using Outdoorsy
