A recent article in van life brings it to life (van lifers dot com then search for gualala)Gualala (pronounced WAH-la-la), a small Northern California town, was named by the Native American Pomo tribe meaning “where the water flows down.” Our van was named Gualala after we had driven the van through this beautiful coastal town. The town’s free spirit, beautiful coast, and natural landscape are the inspiration behind Gualala the EcoSprinter!
Gualala the EcoSprinter has been lovingly built over two years. The owners made sure every little detail possible to ensure your comfort was included. And for those thinking about fuel efficiency on a long journey, the Mercedes-Benz Turbo diesel engine gets up to 22 miles per gallon!
This is a high roof van so you can stand upright (up to 6’1”) to cook dinner on the double-burner gas stove with built-in propane tank. There’s a removable dinner table (walnut live-edge), a slide-out cooking platform for outdoors cooking, ample storage, lockable drawers, and even a bolted-down safe to store your valuables.
You’ll be able to enjoy a good night’s rest on the full-size futon bed. When the futon isn’t being used as a bed, use it as a couch for reading or lounging about.
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need to cook up a feast. There is also a high-efficiency Dometic fridge so that your perishables stay nice and cold, and you can enjoy that lovely sunset with a drink!
The EcoSprinter has a 20 gallon water tank with electric pump that feeds the faucet as well as an outdoor, heated shower. Yes, there is a heated shower; these are rare in most camper vans.
To keep you warm at night, a high-efficiency heater provides heat. In the summer a fan and screened window keep you cool.
This cozy van truly has it all; now it just needs you!
If you are thinking about a one-way rental, let us know! We'll be happy to find a solution! What's includedIncluded in your rental are fresh linens, towels, 2 camping chairs, a camping table, outdoors string lighting, coffee, tea, spices, sugar, salt, oil and vinegar, and a fully stocked kitchen including knives, forks, spoons, mugs, wine glasses, utensils, large, medium and small pots, large and medium skillets, salad bowl, colander, cutting board etc...

5We LOVED driving Gualala! It has everything you need for a camping trip: storage, cookware, window covers, bedding, lighting, water, a shower (!) even spices, cooking oil, and coffee! It drives well, gets great fuel mileage, and can handle rough mountain roads (or lack thereof) with ease. Stefan was very welcoming and made a point to be available to answer any questions we had. On top of that the interior is cozy, inviting, and unique!

5What a great experience on the Oregon coast in Gualala. Fresh air, big cliffs, beautiful ocean views and a unique camper, outfitted with so much thoughtful attention to detail. We got SO many compliments from other campers and had a great time on the road.

5Gualala was everything you could want from a van and more. From a first time van renter, the vehicle was extremely easy to handle and maintain, and satisfied all of our needs and desires as we drove up Highway 101. While the van itself was magnificent, the vans owner Stefan made the trip and experience that much greater. He was so extremely gracious in not only showing us all the ins and out of the van, but also accommodating for our crazy schedule as well. I can’t explain enough how extraordinary of a host he was, and from reading his guest log I can tell others had a similar experience with him. Would give the van and Stefan 6/5 stars if I could!
