1998 Chevrolet Astro Van AWD
This is Van Earle Sr./Jr. aka the older kid brother…. It’s an awesome lil all wheel drive Astro Van that I’ve set up for campin and road trips. This is my second AWD Astro Van and after falling in love with the first one while camping and snowboarding with my kids and dogs. I decided I wanted to try my hand at making an another camper to share. Because I love a good winter project :)Something that was easy to use, approachable, an affordable weekender/adventure style camper to rent. Perfect for the experienced campers wanting a little more room and easy pack-up/mobility. Buuuut just as easy for beginning/campers who want to get out but don’t have all the gear. This van hits the sweet spot if you want to sleep up to 4 folx and still fit into a regular parking spot. And Astro Van Earle is prepped and ready to take you on the road destined for fun.Inside, there is a fold out bed that stows behind the rear bench and can work with one or both rear bench seats installed. There’s storage and 12v plug below for your charging needs. A nightstand cubby that can be velcroed in 2 positions depending on what works best for you. The front passenger swivels 360 degrees so you can flip it around to have a spot to sit besides the bed AND then have a comfortable hangin area when the bed is tucked away. There's also a small storage ottoman that can be moved around and used in a few ways like as extra seat/table. Radio has CD, bluetooth, aux, and a usb port. Lots of built in storage cubbies and cup holders. There are three 12v plugs and one USB up front. So, this thing’s got the power for your electronic goodies!I find that ol Sr./Jr. works best with 1 to 4 humans and a medium or small dog (nice and roomy for a week + of camping). In that setting, I usually like it set up w/ the cooler in the middle of the van like a coffee/card table, next to the ottoman full of snacks or whatever. If you're looking to get out with 6-8 folks ask about the +3 option- I can install the mid row seat, include a 3 person or 5 person tent and a hitch rack for storage. (Best for trips 5 nights and under)I gave the outside of the van a color matched vinyl wrap on the windows that creates a one way glass effect giving you privacy without losing the views. There are pop-out windows in the middle/back and window visors on the front two doors, giving you easy, secure, ventilation options rain or shine.Up top, we have an easy to use hard shell, roof tent for two, that can store your bedding and a few other things when your not sleepin. Mounted next to it is a yakima skybox to fill with whatever light stuff you want outta the way. Oh, and its accessible from the ground aaaaand from inside the rooftop tent so whoever’s sleeping up top can have easy access to belongings without it taking up your sleeping space :)Out back, request an optional 4 bike rack or hitch storage!
(included with the +3 option with no additional charge)Amenities include a 2-4 camp chairs, a cooler, a coleman stove and kettle and basic camping utensils for four and a couple horse blankets for some extra warmth or cozyin. We an amazing trip. Quinn was very helpful. The van was perfect for us and our 2 dogs. Did trip the coast even drove on dunes. Van was very comfortable and great drive. All the amenities and storage alone with the pop up tent on top very comfortable.
We are in love with this and will planning trips renting from Quinn.
Thank you so much!

Want the tried and true experienced guide that knows the job and gets you where you are going? Campervan “Earl Jr” is that van!
Glamporvan with fancy schmancy bells and whistles, no, but we had a great trip with the bonus of Quinn the host being a genuinely really nice person.

Had such a great experience renting the van. We booked it for a weekend camp trip to Trillium Lake. The host, Quinn, was super helpful. Gave us a detailed rundown of the van, rooftop tent and all the other accessories that came with it. My little sister loved sleeping in the rooftop tent and my gf and I slept in the fold-out bed in the van, which was convenient because we didn't want to go through the hassle of setting up and taking down a tent.
