RecommendationsBoondocking on Homstake Pass. It's free and it's where we go when the wildfire smoke moves in. At 6,329 feet, you can get blue skies and fresh air. When leveling Janis, if you need to adjust more than three inches, try parking with the front end downhill, and there will be enough leveling blocks. You need to put them under both rear tires (duallies) for stability, so it uses more blocks.
Other things to noteLGBTQ Friendly! No tobacco smoking inside the RV or cab. Please use caution on unpaved roads and uneven ground. Janis is not a 4x4.The awning must be rolled up in inclement weather, such as high winds, heavy precipitation, etc.I highly recommend driving the Truck Speed Limits. Janis will go 80 mph on I-90, but she's a lot more relaxed at 65. Plus you will lose mpg going over 70.Top off DEF (provided) about every 500 miles or every other fuel-up.Waste tanks must be emptied before return. A $75.00 fee will apply if not emptied.Fuel tank must be topped off before return. A refuel charge of $50 plust the cost of fuel will be applied if it is not full.Propane tank(s) must be refilled before return. A refill charge of $50 plus the cost of propage will be applied if not refilled. The water tank does not have to be refilled upon return.

Frequently asked questions
Q.
What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
Send me a message with your specific needs and I will see if I can help you out!
Q.
Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
Slow down and take your time! Janis is six tons of fun, but a relaxed pace keeps everything in place. Remember there's a long overhang from the rear axel to the rear bumper. Take corners carefully and wide.
Q.
How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
This is all explained in detail and with pictures in the book, "Me and Bobby McGee: a guide to Janis."
