Dreamy Dee was perfect for our family vacation! It had plenty of space and drove fantastic. Best of all was Richie and Melissa’s hospitality. They had Dreamy Dee spotless and in perfect running order for our trip. They thought of everything from an extra battery to lawn chairs and extra paper towel. I would highly recommend renting with Richie and Melissa!

Thank you so much Spencer! Richie and I couldn't have asked for a nicer family to rent our Rig to. You treated Dreamy Dee as if she was your own, and that is what we look for in our Renters. We will definitely be renting to you again, for another fabulous road trip :-)

My wife and I were first timer RVers. Melissa and her husband were really easy to work with. Very clean RV and everything we needed for dry camp worked wonderful. They go out of there way to make sure you have a good time. We will be using these people again for another great experience. Thanks for the memories.

-The AC/ generator went out on the way to Oakland and on the way back home. Thankfully we were staying in hotels in Oakland and not the RV. We were traveling with 2 toddlers and my elderly 86 yr old father which was the purpose of getting an RV, but with the excessive heat warnings and no AC, we had to stop more frequently to get them cooled down for safety reasons.
-The sink was not working.
- We should have been notified as soon as you knew the generator was faulty or had issues.
-In the state of AZ it is illegal and inhumane to have children, elderly, or animals in a vehicle with no AC during excessive heat.
-We had wedding apparel hanging in the bathroom as the closet was too small. The bathroom smell was really bad and we had to air out and sanitize the dresses upon arriving at the hotels before the wedding the next day.
-Because the generator kept going out, so did the microwave which prevented heating up the bottles or food for the babies.
-The check engine light came on prior to arriving at our destination. We had it checked at AutoZone in Oakland and they said it is possibly the Catalytic Converter(s) and/or the gas cap that needed to be replaced. We cleaned the gas cap thoroughly and reset the check engine light.
-The stove top glass is broken and was documented before we left.
-While driving a metal clothes hook fell off above the couch and hit my head.
This was not a good experience for me or my family. What should have been a joyous occasion/vacation for us turned out to be miserable because of the conditions of the RV. Children were stripped down to their diapers with cold towels applied to help alleviate the misery and crying. This is possibly the last time our out-of-state grandchildren will see their great-grandfather who is in ill health. The extra stops to cool everyone down inside air-conditioned buildings caused delays in our travel plans and disrupted schedules for a very active wedding weekend. This vehicle should not be rented to ANYONE in the AZ heat due to a faulty generator and lack of disclosures. We feel that the issues were downplayed with the generator by stating "Above 114-degree weather and in direct sun the generator will not function properly" when in all actuality, in any heat above 100 degrees the generator does not work at all.

Melissa’s answer

We are sorry you had a bad experience; however, you made your reservation on Jun 5, 2023, 7:08 PM before this extreme heat wave. We had no idea that the heat would be this extreme when you made your reservation. We did not feel that it was our responsibility to rearrange your travel plans for you. The Generator is Air Cooled which means it doesn't take Coolant. The Generator is not meant to be run while driving the RV and my husband sent your husband videos and also provided the number to our RV Service Tech to discuss. The AC unit works off of the Generator but when the ground air coming through the vents of the Generator is too hot, it has a failsafe shut off switch to keep you and the Rig safe. Your husband also said he had experience with Class C Motorhomes. We bent over backwards to please you and even let you come over to view the Rig which you said you were satisfied with, so the closet space is something you saw when you came over to view the Rig. There is absolutely nothing wrong with our RV or our Generator as my husband explained to you when you picked up the RV and to not run the Generator while driving which your husband acknowledged. We also took out all of the supplies out of the Rig per your request so you would be able to pack your luggage. As for the 'smell' in the bathroom, again it is extremely hot, and you and your family were using the facilities on your trip. We treated the Blackwater Tank before your trip but when it's hot the tank is not going to smell like roses. Again, we are sorry you had a less than wonderful trip. We also waived the Dumping Fee as you and your husband didn't even dump your own waste which we did for you:( Again, our Rig and Generator are running just fine! We were nothing but accommodating to you and your husband but I realize that pleasing everyone is impossible-
