Camping at Lums Pond is akin to a that of a stay in an enchanted forest. This campsite really showcases Delaware?s natural beauty at its absolute best.

Museum of Indian Culture

For 35 years, the Museum of Indian Culture in Allentown has set the standard in Pennsylvania for education about indigenous cultures. This non-profit, volunteer-staffed educational and resource center educates the public about the First Nations people that lived in the local region, as well as throughout the Northern Hemisphere. Permanent exhibits and collections include Native American dance regalia, prehistoric artifacts, and a life-size exhibit which recreates the ancient rock shelters that were unearthed near the city of Broomhall. You can also join an educational session and learn about the artwork, daily life, diet, and other information about the local Lenape people. The museum conducts daily guided tours, and guests are also welcome to peruse the collections on their own. There?s also a comprehensive research library on the premises. If you happen to visit in late August,you can experience the Roasting Ears of Corn Festival, the oldest Native American festival in the state.

Timberlane Campground is a private family owned campground, with a kind, courteous staff. The campground is situated on 20 acres, with both open and wooded sites. They also have a catch and release fishing pond for both novice and experienced anglers. Whitetail deer and wild turkey are frequent guests at the campground.Timberlane Campground is centrally located, only 1/2 mile off Interstate 295, and only 15 minutes from the Philadelphia downtown historical district. Turkey Swamp Park is a Monmouth County park in Freehold, NJ which is a good location if you want to visit New York City or New Brunswick, New Jersey. This 2,263 acre wooded park was acquired and developed with campers in mind, including RV rentals from NJ. A major attraction is the 17-acre lake for fishing, boating, and ice-skating. The park also features miles of trails, an archery range and playgrounds. A walk through Turkey Swamp reveals a primitive wilderness. While in the Turkey Swamp Park wilderness in your RV rentals from NJ, much of the park is forested by pitch pine and oak trees with an understory of bracken fern, pepper bush, blueberry, and catbriar.
