The worst RV Experience of Our Lives – Deceptive Host, No Power, No Water, Total Nightmare! This was one of the most stressful and disappointing travel experiences we've ever had. DO NOT rent from Gilberto unless you want to spend your entire trip dealing with broken equipment, no water or power, and a host who retaliates when you report legitimate problems. We were dry camping at Rincon Parkway (no hookups), and Gilberto personally confirmed before booking that this RV was ready for it. We added the battery pack, generator, and gas can as recommended. From the start, nearly everything failed—and Gilberto offered no real solutions, just excuses, delays, and ultimately a deposit claim after we filed a claim first, which felt retaliatory. 🚨 Major Failures: NO POWER / DEAD BATTERY: When we arrived, the RV’s battery was dead. Gilberto and wife admitted they “forgot to charge it.” Their solution? “Just run the generator 24/7”—even during quiet hours (9pm–7am), which isn’t allowed and would have gotten us fined. We had no lights, no fridge, and no power at night. As a band-aid, Gilberto brought three small lamps and a cooler with ice. That was their version of support. Even after taking the battery to check it and they saying it was “charged,” the RV still kept losing power every night. NO WATER / FALSE READINGS / SLOPPY SETUP: When we arrived, the RV was not even leveled properly. It was on a slant. The control panel showed the fresh water tank at 2/3 full. When we asked, Gilberto said, “It’s probably just the angle—the sensor isn’t reading right. It’s actually full.” But then he said a water refill was already scheduled for Tuesday, which made no sense. If the tank was full, why was that needed if it was done and full? Less than 24 hours after check-in, the water ran out—no showers, no flushing, no working sinks. We went without water for nearly two full days. The refill finally came late Tuesday afternoon. FRIDGE FAILURE & MELTING ICE: The refrigerator never worked properly—it only ran while the generator was on, and even then, it barely cooled. To save our food, we had to use the cooler the entire time. We were constantly dealing with melted ice, soggy items, and draining water—not what we paid for. GENERATOR TROUBLE: The generator was extremely loud and clearly malfunctioning. Multiple nearby RVers and my father-in-law commented that it sounded like it was dying. Gilberto returned with an unknown liquid, poured it in without explanation, and said to just keep using it. By the final night, it completely stopped working. NO ACCOUNTABILITY / RETALIATORY DEPOSITCLAIM: NO FOLLOW-UP / RETALIATORY DEPOSIT CLAIM: Gilberto and his wife showed up several times but never fixed anything. They admitted in person and by text that we’d be refunded for the gas and battery pack, since neither worked. After our trip, I messaged them politely to resolve things—and instead of making it right, they opened a claim on our deposit at 2AM, after we filed ours first. It felt retaliatory, dishonest, and deeply disappointing. MISLEADING LISTING: The RV is listed as “solar-equipped” and “dry camping ready.” It’s not. It failed on every essential function: no working battery, no consistent power, no water, and no support. If you’re planning an off-grid trip, this RV is not capable. Final Thoughts: We spent the entire trip problem-solving instead of relaxing. We followed every instruction, returned the keys, left the RV clean, gave back extra cash from the water service—and still got blamed. This was not just bad service. It was negligence, misrepresentation, and retaliation for filing a valid complaint. If you're looking for an off-grid-ready RV, this is NOT the one. You’ll end up dealing with equipment failures, no support, and a host who turns against you if you speak up.

Excellent experience! Gilberto and his family are amazing!!!! This was our first camping trip and if it wasn’t for them I don’t know if we would have survived! The RV is beautiful! Their RV has everything that you need! EVERYTHING!!!!!! They are fantastic hosts! 5 Star Camping!!! We definitely will be booking with them every chance we get!
