5We rented Blue Lagoon for a 6-day road trip around Vancouver Island and had an amazing time! The van is super easy to drive, very clean, cozy, and everything works perfectly. It’s well-maintained and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable trip. Catherine is such a lovely host, very patient, polite, and well-prepared. She made the whole process smooth and easy, and was also super nice about us bringing our cats, as long as we kept the van clean. Highly recommend renting from Catherine, Blue Lagoon made our trip unforgettable!

5Blue Lagoon is a treasure. Her simplicity, driveability and charm turned a standard touring vacation into a soulful road trip. My daughter and I drove up gorgeous Vancouver Island, took the 10 hour ferry to Bella Coola, and came back down beautiful mainland BC. Bluey (as my daughter called her) enabled us to spend 90 per cent of our time off the beaten track. We drove on quite stunning quiet roads. The old girl coped with everything including driving up the infamous Bella Coola "Hill" at 5am with its 18% incline, gravel surface, narrow width and massive drop-offs, amid severe forest fires and heavy smoke. The key to getting the most out of the travel was driving with consideration to her capabilities and savouring the experience of movement in one of the most amazing parts of the world, rather than rushing and trying to meet deadlines. Bluey's size and flexibility also allowed us to stay in some wonderful remote campsites that would not have been comfortably accessible to standard, large, soul-less RV's. This was a special experience for us. Bluey took me back to an analog time, when vehicles had character, didn't talk to you or play irritating tunes. Canada was extraordinarily lovely and the vehicle's unassuming nature encouraged warmth and friendliness from everyone we encountered. Catherine is an absolute joy. She was incredibly helpful and responsive, fitting around our requirements and schedule. Her personal involvement was so much more engaging than you would get via a standard rental company.

5We had so much fun in the Westy! We had everything we needed, there is a power hook up which we didn’t know so that was great. Bed was super comfy, sleep below or pop the roof :). Made a lot of great memories!!! Would recommend trying out the Westy life, you’ll be the slowest on the road but you’ll be having the best time.

Frequently asked questions
Q.
What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
I'm very flexible with pick up and drop off times, just ask. However the Vans can not be picked up after dark. Time and light is needed to go over the setup of van.
