Review summary
Supportive, responsive, and flexible
Mike drove out to fix an electrical issue, supported an early rental return with a fair resolution, and allowed a late drop-off, prioritizing guest experience over booking.
Confident driving, unpredictable shifting
Millie features wireless CarPlay, rearview camera, and comfortable seats for long drives. However, guests reported unpredictable transmission shifting, electrical, water tank, and filling hose issues. It offers extensive storage, diesel heater, and a full kitchen.

5.0We rented Millie for our British Columbia honeymoon. Before booking, it’s worth noting she is an older, self-built camper with unique character rather than a flawless, modern RV. If you appreciate a thoughtful, personality-filled build, this is it. Several aspects of the van genuinely stood out. The solar setup was flawless; despite charging our phones, DSLRs, a drone, and a laptop daily, the battery never dropped below 85%. Thanks to the stealth look and tinted windows, we also safely stealth-camped in three locations, saving on fees and confidently leaving valuables while hiking. For driving, the wireless CarPlay and permanent rear-view camera gave us massive confidence, and the seats stayed comfortable for long stretches. The practical layout easily handled weather from 50°F to 85°F with a great diesel heater and fan, lighting was ample, and the storage was massive—easily fitting two checked bags, two large backpacks, and extra gear. In the interest of transparency, we did encounter two issues: a minor media console electrical glitch and an unpredictable transmission shifting behavior. Because of the transmission, we ultimately chose to end the rental early for peace of mind. This is where Mike truly shined. He initially drove out to our campsite to fix the electrical issue, and when we decided to cut the trip short, he was entirely supportive. Instead of giving us a hard time, he worked with us on a fair resolution and went far beyond our expectations, proving he cared more about our experience than the booking itself. While Millie wasn’t a perfect 5-star vehicle, Mike’s customer service absolutely was. Millie introduced us to van life and will always be a memorable chapter of our honeymoon story. Highly recommended!

4.0Overall was ok but few things were missing or were not working : issue with the overall electricity that prevents us using the hot water and pump if not plugged, water tank gauge could not read the volume, filling hose with holes, .. except from that - host was friendly and reactive. Van was confortable. We understand that some issues can happen on the road but we feel like some of these could have been avoided with a proper pre-check

5.0Millie made our road trip extra special! It’s exactly as shown in the photos — very clean and fully equipped. It has everything and even more than you could possibly need. To top it all off, Mike is an incredibly responsive and caring host. He was always there when we needed him and even allowed us to drop off the car later in the day. We’d definitely book Millie again for our future trips!

5.0We had an amazing first Van Life experience with Millie. This van is fantastic in every possible way because it offers your everyday comfort on wheels! We traveled with Millie to Vancouver Island for a week and had the chance to cook everyday our own food easily, thanks to Mike’s kitchen setup. The bed is very cozy and the bathroom was great! I highly recommend Millie for anyone new to van life!

Frequently asked questions
Q.
1. What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV? What is the allocated mileage per day?
A.
-Pick up from 5pm on the check in day -Drop off is before 11am on the check out day -Please note that 200km/day is included NOT miles
Q.
What is the storage space dimension in the back of the van?
A.
Depth: 33" (84cm) Height: 26" (66cm) Width: 35" (89cm)
Q.
2. How fast does battery recharge from near zero?
A.
-If plugged into a regular 120V outlet, a full recharge from near zero takes approximately 14 hours. The RV is also equipped with: • 585W solar panels • DC-to-DC charger (charges while driving) In British Columbia, especially during summer with long sunny days, guests usually do not need to plug the RV in very often because the batteries continue charging from solar and driving
Q.
2.1 How long can I run the fridge/lights overnight without driving or plugging in?
A.
-The fridge and lights use very little power and can typically run for at least a week without charging under normal use. Higher-power appliances such as: • hot water system • air fryer • other heating appliances consume much more energy, so it is best to use them wisely and preferably during daylight hours when solar production is highest.
