Up for rent is our 2021 Coleman Lantern named "Kermit". Kermit is the perfect size travel trailer for families that want to get out of a tent but still enjoy the great outdoors. It's 21 ft. long and approx. 3,600 lbs dry so it's able to be towed by a fairly wide range of vehicles, SUVs, and pickup trucks (a lot of vehicles have a sticker on the inside of your driver door that will tell you how much it can tow). It has a queen sized bed, two bunk beds, and a dinette that turns into a bed as well so there's lots of options for sleeping the entire family. The camper has air conditioning, an electric fireplace/heater, sink, toilet, shower, TV, and radio with Bluetooth. If you're new to towing things that's ok! My wife and I were new to towing as well before buying this camper. On the day of the rental I will walk you through everything you need to know; how to hook up the trailer, make the proper electric/sewer/water connections, how to use all the systems (e.g. awning, water pump, water heater, toilet, etc...) and answer any questions you have! The trailer requires a 7-pin connector and brake controller. Feel free to message me with any questions! We are pet friendly, tailgate friendly, and concert friendly :) We want the trailer to be used to help people enjoy their favorite events and can give discounts for longer rentals. We just ask that people treat Kermit kindly and return him to us in the same condition it was rented.Week long rentals get a 20% discount and month long rentals get a 30% discount!!! What's included
The camper has all the equipment needed for setting up and connecting to a campsite (i.e. electrical connections, water hoses, sewer hoses, and leveling/parking equipment). The camper also has some standard kitchen utensils (pot, pan, spatula, can opener, and disposable plates/utensils).For an extra fee ($30/day) you can also rent a generator that can be used to power the trailer if you won't have access to an electrical hookup.FREE RENTAL ITEMS! - Inflatable kayaks! If you're camping lakeside why not bring a couple kayaks to enjoy! (I have two available).
- Corn hole game!
- Camping coolers! Keep your drinks or food nice and cold!Recommendations
So far we've taken the camper to a local campsite along the river and to a music festival. Both times it was so nice knowing we had a bathroom, A/C, and nice beds waiting for us anytime the weather got bad or we were tired. You can also use this trailer if you're having friends or family visiting your house and need an extra place to have them stay!!! Other things to note
Pets are welcome and allowed but there is a $50 Pet fee to help cover the additional wear and tear due to pets. If you plan on bringing your furry friend, please select the "Pet fee" add-on. Also, please message me for pets over 100 lbs which can be approved on a case by case basis. Sorry, no puppies! Dogs must also be well behaved. If you plan on using the camper off grid (i.e. boondocking, dry camping, dispersed camping, or camping at sites with no hookups) you will need to add either the generator add-on or the solar add-on. This ensures you will have a way to keep the battery adequately charged. AGM batteries can not be depleted more than 50% or else they will be damaged so the generator and/or solar is required so I know you have a way to maintain the batteries. This will also help ensure you have enough power to use the 12v refrigerator continuously as well as power the lights, water pump, water heater, power awning, and radio. The hope/expectation is that the trailer will be returned in the same condition it was rented. Cleaning supplies are provided and renters will be expected to clean, sweep, mop, wipe the interior of the trailer. If you weren't able to or forgot, there will be a $50 cleaning fee added at the end of the rental. If you are not able to dump the black/grey tanks prior to your return there will be a $60 fee added at the end of the rental. Most campgrounds will have a dumping station you can use for free if you have a camping reservation there. If you're dispersed camping, boondocking, tailgating, or at a festival without a dumping station you'll need to pay the fee for me to dump the tanks. I know $60 sounds like a lot but I do not have a dumping station locally so for me to do it I have to hook everything up, tow the trailer to the nearest facility, pay a fee to use the dumping station without a reservation and drive it back. So the $60 covers the fee I have to pay as well as the time/labor I have to spend to do it. We hope everyone understands because it sounds like a lot for people who have never used a trailer before. But again, most campsite have a dumping station and I will show you how to dump the tanks before you leave.
