RecommendationsExplore all that central Colorado has to offer! Go anywhere you like. My wife and I have traveled throughout Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and South Dakota. We've taken it to 25 ski resorts while living in it for a month. It's a beautiful rig worth $160,000+ -- so have fun while treating it kindly, please!PS -- Her name is Sabine, in honor of Sabine Schmitz.Other things to note- From October to May, the RV is winterized, which means it is drained of all water. There is no running water in the showers or kitchen sink to avoid freezing and bursting the pipes. The cassette toilette is still fully functional, as is the sink which can be used with toted water. We provide an electric tea kettle that quickly boils water.

We live in Colorado's "banana belt" and love to explore the mountain West, especially in the winter when we visit ski resorts throughout the Rockies. We take our two dogs with us, Jojo and Honey.

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
If you want a cheap, easy trip from Denver to either Buena Vista (15 minutes away) or Salida (30 minutes away) without having to rent a car, take the Bustang! We can pick you up and drop you off for an additional fee. https://ridebustang.com/

Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
At just 19 feet long, the Winnebago Revel is one of the easiest RVs to drive. It handles like a minivan, parks easily in a regular parking space, and requires no special license. It's easy to drive without any prior RV experience. It's also a 4x4 with Three-Peak Mountain tires, which means it's ideal for Colorado weather. Engaging and disengaging the 4WD is easy: just stop in a safe place and push a button beside the steering wheel.

Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
The Revel comes equipped with a 30 AMP electrical connection that easily plugs into electric at most campgrounds and a water hose to refill the water tank. Because the Revel features a 5-gallon cassette toilet, there is no need for sewage hookup. The cassette toilet is easy to empty--but you may not need to depending on the length of your trip. I'll share my tips and tricks for extending the life of the cassette.
