This is my 2020 Rangerunner and makes a great rig for a whole array of people. From someone who may be inexperienced at towing a camper to someone who wants a step up from tent camping, this rig is what you are looking for. At a max weight of about 1,000lbs, this trailer could be pulled by almost any truck/suv/crossover/ and even some sedans. This is a 8ft by 6 ft box that has a 5,000 BTU AC unit that cools the camper in about 10 minutes. Also has a wall unit heater, tv, and custom size bed that sleeps two comfortably. Also enough room on the floor to put a sleeping pad and sleeping bag. My girlfriend and I travel with our two labs and sleep in here comfortably. Plenty of storage for camp essentials from the cargo racks on the front and back to the roof rack that can carry a couple kayaks.
I have an array of different things that can be used upon request:
- camp chairs
- table with sink connection and hose
- 10x10 pop-up canopy
- two burner cooktop
You can take this rig anywhere you want. From across the street to across the country. I’ve taken this on a short trip to south Jersey to longer trips into Pennsylvania, New York and even have a fishing trip planned in Colorado later this year. With gas prices on the rise, you won’t feel much of a difference at the pumps.
Other things to note
Only rule I have to treat the unit as your own. You are camping, and sometimes camping with dogs, so dirt, dog hair, and array of other things are going to happen and are completely understandable. Just keep the unit relatively clean and most importantly have a fun!
