Make no compromises this summer in this rugged Nissan NV 2500! This van has been the home, office, and cabin-on-wheels for my partner and me since 2021. We love it dearly despite it’s quirks, and our goal is that you have as much fun in is it as we do. You won't have to stress about giving it some battle scars along the way either, since they are already included free of charge :)The van was built with everything from living in the woods to watching movies in bed in mind. The kitchen consists of a big 40l fridge, 14 gallons of fresh water, 400w of solar, and plenty of cooking paraphernalia so you can whip up almost anything while on the road. The 30" skylight offers plenty of natural light and a beautiful view of the sky at night. Throw open the back doors and lie down in bed, grab a book off the bookshelf, and allow yourself to relax in the comfort of your home on wheels for as long as you'd like.Campsite lacking shade or seating? Unfurl the awning, set up the chair, or even lie down in the hammock. It practically doubles your amount of space!Lastly, this van has all the essentials such as:
– Sink with running water (14 gal)
– 3 gal gray water tank (sink water only, no toilet!)
– 400w solar
– 40a DC-DC charger (charges the house battery while the engine is running)
– 2000w continuous pure sine wave inverter (4000w peak)
– 12v 200ah lithium house battery
– LED lighting
– Household outlets and numerous USB and USB-C ports (65w PD capable, charge your laptop!)
– Lots of storage, including hooks for helmets and hiking poles, bungee nets for soft goods and shoes, and plenty of wire baskets for miscellaneous items
– Passenger’s seat has a built-in footrest, swivels 180º, and reclines
– Built-in awning and camping chairs for enjoying the outside in comfort
– Interior standing height of ~6', plus a 68" x 54" memory foam bed
– Bluetooth aux in
– Cruise control
– All-terrain tires

Responsive, provides comprehensive guidance

Jason provides timely communication and comprehensive support, including detailed manuals with videos and thorough van orientations. He often goes above and beyond, like offering airport pickup. One minor issue was a WiFi guide discrepancy.

Drives reliably despite high mileage

Despite being old with over 300k miles, the van drives surprisingly well on highways and hills. It's packed with amenities like a comfy bed (can be tight for tall users), full kitchen, solar power, and a projector. Occasional door lock and back door latch issues were noted.

This is cozy RV, it had everything we needed --- except for a spatula :) --- everything worked, and Jason gave us support when we needed it. The truck drive is smooth on the highway, the mattress is comfortable, the kitchen is fully equipped, the camper is well insulated. The size of the RV was perfect for us. This RV rental rates five stars for sure, and we hope to rent again from Jason who was very, very accommodating and gracious.

The van was definitely old with over 300k miles on it but it drives surprisingly well. I went to Yellowstone with it and for nearly 900 miles the van had no problem with it except the lock on the drivers side sometimes doesn’t lock or unlock using remote so I had to use the key. Over the trip Jason replied my messages on time and offered great amount of help. In conclusion the rental was great and I had a great trip with this van! Highly recommend to anyone who doesn’t mind old vehicles.

Communication was on point! Really appreciated the Google Doc and YT videos- we referenced those a couple of times on our trip and it was so helpful. The van was everything we needed for a camping trip on the Oregon Coast. It was cozy and the bed was very comfortable. It was so nice to have electricity and with it being sunny out, the solar panels kept the battery charged. We had an excellent experience!

This trip is a summer week on the coast of Oregon. Disclosure: This trip was done accompanied with another new RV and many tasks were accomplished using equipment from that vehicle (so much of the equipment aboard "Envy" was not used (like the heater) and cannot be evaluated). Those RV systems of Envy that were used performed well (water supply, lighting, bedding). The bedding aboard Envy is laid out sideways so for tall renters (we are 5'10" and 6'2") it is necessary to sleep diagonal. This was mentioned by the host in the write up for the vehicle. Vehicle systems (drive train, AC), all worked fine. Rear facing camera displayed 100% of operating time was a nice feature.

Frequently asked questions

Q.

Are pets allowed?

A.

Pets are welcome! Please note there are dangerous spots a pet can crawl into though, like the battery box.

Q.

How big is the van?

A.

The height of the van is about 10' and the length is 24' with the bike rack. Sadly, that means no drive thrus and avoid low-hanging branches!

Q.

What sort of gas does it use and what is the gas mileage?

A.

The van uses regular 87 octane gas (NO DIESEL). Gas mileage averages around 13-14 mpg with a light foot (55-60 mph freeway speeds) and 11-12 mpg without. Please refill the fuel tank before returning the van.

Q.

Can I take it off-road?

A.

The NV sports large LT265/70/17 all-terrain tires and 8" of ground clearance. It's certainly capable of going up and down rough dirt/forest roads, but keep in mind it weighs over 4 tons, is RWD only, and has open differentials. Use your best judgement and know your limits! Rough roads means an even rougher ride, and I strongly discourage attempting sandy terrain, deep ruts, or anything marked as a 4x4 road.
