Papalaua Wayside Park-Papalaua is the most easily accessible campground on the list. You can literally pull off the main road and onto a campsite. Occasional noise from the nearby traffic is a small price to pay for the convenience and having the ocean just footsteps away from you.
Wai’anapanapa State Park-It sits on 122 tropical acres just outside of Hana with a black sand beach, freshwater caves, and lava arch.
Polipoli State Park- At 6,200-foot elevation, the climate in the Kula Forest Reserve is known for its Redwood trees.
Camp Olowalu-It sits just off Honoapiilani Highway a few minutes south of Lahaina with breathtaking views of the West Maui Mountains. It's a great place for kayaking. There is also a store and fruit stand nearby.Other things to noteFor daytime use only or with a camping permit. Make reservations in advance. They fill up fast!

This Xterra was a perfect way to see the island on a budget. We camped at Olowalu and Kipahulu for 2 nights each, the pop up tent was super easy to use and Cole and Maria supplied us with everything we needed. Plenty of propane for the stove, an extra beach blanket, snorkeling gear.. they had everything we needed. Also really nice of them to give us a ride to the airport at the tail end of the trip, will be recommending to anyone who wants an accessible Maui adventure!

Had the best time! Cole and Maria were very understanding and accommodating. Due to Maui fires and road closures, we were unable to retrieve our camping equipment from Camp Olowalu. Cole and Maria were willing to resupply us so we could continue camping on the other end of the island. Thanks to their generosity, we had an awesome adventure.
