Recommendations

Betty was built for boondocking with a view.

To go off grid we have 200 amp hours of lithium iron phosphate batteries, 200W of solar power, batteries that charge as you drive, 40 gallons of fresh water, and a 7 gallon cassette toilet.

Other things to note

Policies:
- Pets welcome for no additional cleaning fee
- No smoking
- Power and water are essential: Although our vans are built for boondocking, you should still be aware of your electrical and water consumption. Be conservative with water and do not use any appliances rater above 2,200 watts (e.g. no hair dryers). Also, check the battery power once per day, details on how to do this can be found in our manual inside the van.
- No off-roading. Authorized Driver(s) shall be permitted to drive on forest service roads and similar unpaved roads provided that: (1) Our van is 2×4 and not intended, or allowed, to be used in a true off road setting, heavily wash boarded roads, or overgrown trails that may result in scratch damage to our vans. (2) If you are outside of the prescribed area, or are deemed to be on a non-approved road, all costs associated with towing, repair and damage to the van shall be borne by the renter. (3) Owners are the sole determinant of non-approved roads or other unapproved use of the vehicle. Shoulders, unimproved campsites, and any unpaved roads that are not forest service roads or of similar quality to forest service roads are generally non-approved and “use at your own risk”.

Meet your host, Morgan & Amber

Member since 2021

Hi there! We are Morgan and Amber. We are based out of Seattle, WA with our two dogs Huck and Lucy. We spend most of our time outside of work mountain biking and bouldering. We bought our van, Betty, this last year after Amber broke her leg and had an extended period of time off work...we decided we might as well take advantage of the time off and go on a road trip around the Western United States. Having a van for all of life's little adventures has been a game changer for us and we hope you'll love her as much as we do. If you have any questions about places to see, places to stay, or anything in between, just shoot us a message!

We had an amazing time in “OurVanBetty”! Everything we needed for a week camping trip to Olympic National 🏕 The pull out kitchen was fantastic for summer cookouts every day, loved the full shower 🚿 after long hikes and the bug screen kept the mosquitoes out. Thank you!

Morgan & Amber’s answer

So glad you both had a great time!! It was so nice to host you. :)

"Betty," Morgan and Amber's campervan had everything we could have wanted for our trip to see a concert at the Gorge Amphitheater and the Olympic Peninsula. It was perfect for easy camping. We were amazed at how everything fit in Betty and stayed put when we were driving. The shower and toilet worked well and were easy to operate. We were able to refrigerate our cold foods, make coffee each morning and enjoy a variety of traditional camp foods. Sleeping was the most comfortable "camp-sleep" we've ever experienced - no mats and no cots! Betty has a high-quality mattress and a remote-controlled fan! Best camping experience ever!

Morgan & Amber’s answer

Thank you so much, Kelly!! So happy to host you.
