Other things to note

Setting Up (at camp)

1: Parking at Camp — Ensure the truck is level (eyeing this is okay) - perfection isn’t necessary. If the truck is in need of being leveled, use the included leveling blocks. To use the blocks, set them in front or behind the tire that needs to be slightly raised and move the truck in position over the leveling block(s). Once in position, engage the parking brake with your left foot while sitting in the driver’s seat. To release the parking brake push the parking brake all the way down with your left foot.

2: Power to Camper (if applicable) — If using shore power (you have a 30 amp receptacle available) - apply the cord to the outlet, attach cord to the inlet on the camper (located: drive rear side of camper) - flip the breaker to on if applicable. The power outlets in the camper will NOT work unless you have shore power. Everything else in the camper will work as intended without connecting to shore power.

3: Unclip the Roof Locks — Using the ladder, unclip both the right and left side roof locks prior to attempting to raise the roof. These clips are located at the back of the camper near the roof.

4: Raise the Roof — Turn on the roof remote connection by pressing the button (near the door) green light will indicate connection. Using the remote, raise the roof until fully raised (the unit won’t let you go too high, press until both sides stop moving). On the remote: the top left arrows are what you need to press to raise or lower the roof. Once the camper roof is in the fully open position, use the ladder to access the fabric (around the camper) and ensure it is fully extended down on all 3 sides of the roof. Watch all angles carefully as you raise the roof checking for irregularities or possible issues.

5: Hot Water & Water Pump — If you have water in the water tank: turn on the water pump (Located inside the camper between the sink and the bench, under the foot of the bed.) Turn on the hot water heater (Located outside on the driver’s side of the camper behind a black metal door (no key needed) - switch water heater to on).

6: Connect Discharge Hose — When you use the sink, the water will flow out of the side of the camper. There is a hose included that will allow you to attach to the outlet. Using this depends on the rules of the campground. This is relatively clean water, it’s just fresh water + soap (for example). Do not use this hose for potable water (adding water to the tank).

7: Connect City Water (if applicable) — Use the regulator and water safe hose (included) — Attach the hose to the city water spigot and to the camper’s City Water Connection via the regulator. When using city water: turn the water pump off. You will not be using the water located in the tank when attached to city water. The regulator ensures that you will not ruin the camper’s water lines (and cause significant damage) because of too much water pressure.

Travel Ready Checklist
-- Water pump is turned off. Located inside the camper between the sink and the bench, under the foot of the bed.
-- Hot water heater is turned off. Located outside the unit on the driver’s side behind a black metal door that doesn’t have a lock.
-- Stovetop is off. Ensure the stovetop is off and no propane is being released.
-- Windows are closed. Close all windows (including ceiling vents)
-- Camper roof has been properly lowered, is all the way down, and locked. (2 locks are located on the rear of the camper with locking pins engaged).
-- All items inside the camper are secure. (items will move around and may cause damage if not secured properly in the camper while driving)
-- Back door is shut with the grab handle positioned across the door. Recommended but not required: lock the door.
-- Visual inspection around the truck has been completed. (visual inspection of tires, torklift connections are tight, no hoses or cords attached, water drain is shut, etc)
-- Parking brake has been released. To release the parking brake push the parking brake all the way down with your left foot.

Closing the Roof — Closing the roof takes a few minutes and if proper care isn’t taken there may be costly (renter required) repairs to the fabric. The included telescoping ladder is required.

1: Ensure the Fabric is Dry — If possible, ensure the fabric is dry prior to closing the roof. If you can’t avoid a wet roof close (rain, snow) - please open and air out the fabric as soon as possible to avoid mold/mildew (if closed for too long after a wet close, renter is responsible for cleaning/damages).

2: Lower Roof a Few Inches — Turn on the roof remote connection by pressing the button (near the door) green light will indicate connection. Using the remote, lower the roof a few inches. On the remote: the top left arrows are what you need to press to raise or lower the roof. Lowering a few inches will reduce the tension in the fabric and allow you to start tucking in the fabric/walls.

3: Tuck in Fabric Material — Use the ladder to access the fabric (around the camper) and ensure it is not being pinched as the roof is lowered. You’ll be moving the ladder around to push in the material. Take extra caution to not scratch or damage the camper with the ladder. Take extra caution to not put the ladder against windows, vents, etc.

4: Continue to Lower Roof Completely — With remote in hand (or partner’s) push roof fabric in to ensure it’s all pushed inside prior to completely closing the roof. Watch your fingers and make sure to NEVER lower the roof while someone is pushing in the fabric. Press the remote button down (to close the roof) until the roof stops moving (no more motor sound). One side may take slightly longer to close than the other. Press the down button until both sides stop moving and there’s no more audible motor sound.

5: Clip the Roof Locks — When the roof is completely closed and all fabric is neatly pushed inside, using the ladder, clip both the right and left side roof locks using the clips attached.

Moving Truck When Roof is Open/Extended — NEVER move the truck when the roof is open, this may cause significant damage.

General

Power in the Camper — Check the main power switch located between the driver’s side back window and the camper (red “key” needs to be in the on position). When plugged in to shore power, all outlets work. Without shore power, the outlets (besides the usb ports) will not work.

Heater & Thermostat — The heater takes about a minute to start producing warm air. If after about a minute the air isn’t warm: the propane tank may be empty or the handwheel is in the off/closed position. On top of the propane tank is a handwheel, ensure this is open (if it’s closed the heater will not produce heat). If you run out of propane you can visit a gas station or service station that sells propane (the access is outside the camper, in the back near the entry door). To control temperature, use the thermostat which is located right inside the door. If you turn off the heater while it's in use, the fan will continue to run for a little while (this is normal).

Filling the Water Tank — Use a potable water safe hose (included / blue & white color) — Attach the hose to your spigot and add water on the driver’s side of the camper via the Fresh Water Connection inlet. The fresh water tank is located in front of the sink (under a carpeted cover) you can see the tank by removing the carpeted cover located between the sink and the padded bench. You will never need access to this to fill the water. Filing the water tank is only achieved by using the external water connection inlet. The water pump must be turned on to use the water tank.

City Water Connection — Use the regulator and water safe hose (included) — Attach the hose to the city water spigot and to the camper’s City Water Connection via the regulator. When using city water: turn the water pump off. You will not be using the water located in the tank when attached to city water. The regulator ensures that you will not ruin the camper’s water lines (and cause significant damage) because of too much water pressure.

Kitchen

Stovetop — There must be propane in the tank and the tank’s handwheel must be open. The tank is located outside the camper, behind a small door (in the back). To use the stovetop you must have a match or lighter to ignite the propane. While using the stove make sure you have proper ventilation with open roof vents and fan. This is important (even when it’s cold outside).

Water Heater & Water Pump — If you have water in the water tank, ensure the water pump is in the “on” position (Located inside the camper between the sink and the bench, under the foot of the bed.) Turn off the water pump when traveling (to avoid possible water flow and damages while traveling)- The pump will make noise while water is flowing (this is normal). If you want warm water, ensure the water heater is on (Located outside on the driver’s side of the camper behind a black metal door (no key needed). To adjust the water temp, use the water heater control panel located under the sink/stovetop inside the camper. Turn off the water heater when not in use.

Fridge — Best practice for fridge usage is to pre-cool the fridge prior to travel and add cold items to the fridge. Ensure you secure everything in the fridge, items will move around and may cause damage/spill if not secured properly inside the fridge. Best option “AUTO” for the fridge setting (this will allow the fridge to be powered by whatever source is best).

The rig and truck worked great and was really cozy! Also the host, Rob, was really nice and hospitable. He has a really cool property and showed us around. He also included a great binder that helped us navigate the different features in the camper. Only complaint was we didn't realize cookingware and pillows/sheets for the bed weren't included so we were a little under packed. I should have double checked though. Thanks Rob!

Had a great trip. The camper and truck worked really well for our family of three - even with a little more rain than we planned on.
Rob was very helpful and communicative.
