Sheldon is a classic white cargo van with a short wheelbase. It's easy to drive and simple to use. 150 miles per day included. It’s not a tall van, so tall folks will need more space. Ideal for adventurers who want to save a little money and be able to camp almost anywhere. This van has a huge gas tank, an automatic transmission and gets 12-15 miles per gallon. RV battery charges as you drive.Sheldon used to be a bare-bones utility van for the city of Portland. Someone gave him a (inexpensive) paint job, fixed some dents, replaced his transmission, and parked him with a "for sale" sign in East Missoula. While a bit older, he still only had about 90k miles. So we took him home and built him out for a month-long winter trip to the desert. Since then he's taken us on trips around the West, to hot springs and trailheads, climbing crags and secret backwoods campsites. He's been rock-solid on the road, and has been the vessel for many visitors on their journeys all over Glacier National Park. The rangers at Many Glacier probably know the van well by now!Overall this van is great for folks under 6' tall, who don't have mobility issues and plan to spend most of their Montana adventure outside. It has just enough amenities to feel cozy. It's like a hard-sided tent with wheels. We've waited out plenty of rain, wind and snow safely inside, playing cribbage and drinking cocktails. It's wonderful to get back to the comfort of this rig after a long day on the trail. What's included-Pillows, full linens, bath and hand towels

RecommendationsSheldon’s compact setup makes it easy to roll out of bed, drive to the trailhead, find parking, then sleep more or prepare breakfast. Our busy area often necessitates very early starts (4am!) to ensure a parking spot at Glacier’s popular trailheads. We also know of a lot of free campsites (with toilets!) so feel free to ask when you pick up the van!Other things to noteNo smoking of cigarettes, cigars or marijuana inside the rig.
No pets. This is not a tall van. And the bed is short. DO NOT plan on sleeping in this comfortably if you are over 5’11”.Check-in is set for after 3pm and check-out before 11am. When you book, please reach out with your expected arrival and departure times. Occasionally we can accommodate early check-ins and late check-outs. It all depends on other renters and our schedules. Please note we do not deliver the van or allow for pick up without a walk through as there are lots of details to go over and often folks have questions. We prefer to meet and talk in person at pick up so you can enjoy your adventure without having to reach back out to us. We can coordinate a drop off at the end of your trip that does not require meeting up! Thanks for understanding and communicating!

Andrea and Devin were flexible and thorough hosts, and Sheldon was a great van! It drove beautifully and was well-kitted out with everything you need. Perfect van for Glacier National Park! Cheers A&D!

The hosts are so welcoming and kind. Felt very safe and informed about the van going into the trip. Sheldon has soul and the bed comfort definitely surprised us. For two males it was lovely. Great experience highly recommend

Sheldon was an awesome little camper van! Perfect for our four night trip to Glacier National Park. Andrea and Devin were very communicative and laid out how to use the van in simple, understandable terms. Would highly recommend renting from them!

Have a question?Get answers directly from the host
Q.Where do I pick Sheldon up?
A.
We are located at 1245 7th Ave E in Kalispell.
Sheldon lives in the alley behind our place, so tell your driver to park in the alley for easier moving of luggage.
Q.Do you provide transportation to and from the airport?
A.
We do not have the capacity to pick you up from or drop you off at the airport. Sheldon only has 2 seatbelts and we are quite busy in the summer.
We recommend looking into one of the following options:
Aero Shuttle Whitefish (https://arrowshuttletaxi.com/)
-OR- Lyft/Uber (~$25 ride)
