I was not very happy with the experience with fireside. The teardrop that I saw online and the one I got did not look the same. It was smaller and not set up the way I asked. I asked for a single bed set up with no table and instead they sent me up as a double bed which gave me almost no room to stand and no place for a chair. The door was a problem to open unless you had both hands-free and could push with one hand and pull with the other hand to open it. There was confusion over a microwave since I were for sure I read that it came with one, but it didn't and the suggestion was that I should go an hour away and pick one up and they would reimburse me. Since it's only a weekend trip, I certainly didn't want to spend my time in a Walmart. If I hadn't asked them to make sure that it had a microwave I wouldn't have been so frustrated because they could have told me then that it didn't come with one. Also, I didn't notice until the next morning that the camper wasn't really leveled and one side was a little lower than the other. At least the air conditioner worked and there was a plug for my coffee pot. It seem like a very old and well used teardrop and should have been retired to wherever old happy teardrops go.
Since I booked this through outdoorsy, I think outdoorsy should have done a better job vetting this company. I actually thought I was renting from an individual, not a company that rents old used campers.

This was a terrible experience. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. On my pick-up date, I logged into the app, clicked get directions, and drove 2 hours to go get the camper. Once I arrived at the location provided in the app (coordinates located in Johnsonville, NY), I found there was nothing at that location. I checked my email, and found that I had received an email from Outdoorsy with an actual address to pick up the camper (and stated that this would be a contactless pickup, which was never mentioned before). This address was in Johnstown, NY, over an hour and a half away, and no closer to my destination. We had no other alternative, so we drove the hour and a half to pick up the camper. When we arrived, there was no one there to assist with hooking it up, or showing us how anything worked. Fortunately, I know how to hook up a trailer, but have never used a camper before, so I had no idea how to use the stabilizers/empty the sewage/etc.

Garth is the NICEST person! He was unbelievably accommodating and helpful during our whole trip. I will recommend him to anyone I know looking to rent a camper and we can’t wait to rent from him again next year!
