Since then, we learned about RVs - and have traveled in much greater comfort while enjoying many shorter trips in the western US.

After many years as a broadcast journalist, I'm now producing documentaries, teaching journalism and seeking great stories around the world. Am especially inspired by CBS newsman Charles Kuralt and his American stories from adventures "On the Road."
