This is Valiant Expedition Trailers' 2021 Toyota Tundra overland rig!
The Tundra is fully decked out for the whole family to enjoy a trip through the central Idaho Mountains, the Tetons, Targhee's or Yellowstone!
The Truck:The Tundra is a Crew Max Trail Addition, which means the cab is massive inside and very comfortable for 4 people but 5 will fit. It has 33" Falken Wildpeak AT3W tires, HID headlights, a 30" Rigid light bar, a 38 gallon fuel tank (which you're going to need because the mileage is awful), remote start, and wireless-controlled rear suspension air-springs.Features:The Tundra has a Freespirit 63" High Country Premium roof top tent, which will sleep 2-3 adults comfortably, or 2 adults and 2 children. It is very easy to set up and put away (no zip-on cover to mess with), and it is 4-season insulated with interior LED lighting! The bed of the truck has a Bedslide system, so all of your gear will slide out of the bed meaning you don't have to climb in to get it!In the bed you’ll find a Dometic CFX3 75L dual zone refrigerator / freezer! Each zone can be independently controlled so you can keep food frozen or refrigerated with NO Stopping FOR ICE! The fridge slides out on its own drawer for easy access. The bed of the truck has an RSI Smartcap with gull-wing windows on the sides, which makes it very easy to access the in-bed storage boxes over the wheel wells. The Smartcap will keep all of your gear dry and secure for your trip. Open the driver side window and you can easily load the fridge in the grocery store parking lot without unloading all your gear!Stainless steel camp table mounted to the SmartcapA 270 degree awning provides shade or rain protection and wraps around the back of the truck to cover the driver side of the truck and the tailgate. There is also a 10 gallon Yakima Roadshower and a quick-deploy shower enclosure for privacy. A supplied bike pump can be used to pressurize the tank to take a hot shower or wash dishes.

Frequently asked questions

Q.

What is the Tundra's gas mileage?

A.

13 mpg. Downhill, with a tail wind. Luckily the fuel tank is 38 gallons. Plan on getting an average of 11 mpg but it may be less. The Tundra got terrible gas mileage before we covered it in overland gear, now it's worse. It's more about the smiles per gallon anyway.

Member since 2018

My wife and I have 2 little girls and we are seriously dedicated to our outdoor hobbies! So much so, that in 2018 we started an overland trailer company Valiant Expedition Trailers. Born and raised in Alaska, we recently moved our company and family to Idaho Falls and can't overstate how much we love it here!
