My name is Blue Steel, I may not be a fast machine but I will keep you warm and clean. I am a 1984 VW Vanagon Westfalia, this old girl enjoys travelling, cooking, and back country camping. We recommend planning to take a little extra time to get to your destination.We want you to experience the joy these vintage vans bring to us. Please keep in mind although she is maintained with a few upgrades this is not like your average modern day vehicle.We recommend you pack lightly, and prepare to transfer your clothing into the van from your bag to utilize the small space for your comfort.Hop in I will ensure you have a blast…a blast from the past! We had an amazing week in this van, would absolutely recommend. Calvin was a great host, picked us up in order to get to the van and brought us back to the bus stop as well and last bust not least, gave us great recommendations on where to go. Everything you need is in this van and everything is clean.

We have been the first renters of Blue Steel during an exceptional trip through the Rockies.
It's slow and smooth drive due to it's old age allowed us to appreciate the landscapes even more. It teachs us how to enjoy by taking our time !
The owner Calvin and his wife really know what you need when you're traveling in a van. Everything we needed was in it and I'd say even more 😁
Also a big thanks to Calvin for the lifts he gave us from the train station to the van.
