I have been working on balancing my work/home life for the last 20 years and I made a promise to myself that I was going to take at least a one week vacation every year. A few years ago I planned what I would coin as my “Louis and Clark Expedition” where I would set out in my RV and drive the lengths of this great nation and explore the wonders and sites that it has to offer. To accomplish this endeavor, I scheduled 31 days of vacation and set out to expand my horizon. I have learned so much and have witnessed such great landscapes and spectacles. It is hard to believe but I visited 19 western states, drove 6654 miles, visited 13 national/state parks/monuments/memorials and made some great memories. This was truly an adventure of a lifetime – the journey was actually better than any of the destinations. I would have never dreamed to make this journey if I wouldn’t have forced myself to stay curious.
