Online reviews are a great way to tell the world about your great experience at Dave & Matt Vans. If you have the time we’d love it if you were able to post a review on Google for us! To do so, simply search for Dave & Matt Vans on Google. Under our business listing on the right side, you will see a tab to write a review.HOUSE BATTERY SYSTEM
Your van is equipped with the following:
Batteries: 2 x 200ah AGM.
Solar: 2 x 160 watt Renogy solar panel.
Alternator charging when your vehicle is running.SOLAR
The solar panels will be charging your house batteries any time they are exposed to sunlight without any obstacles or debris on the face of the panels. The solar electrical system is self regulating and will switch to float mode when it senses that the battery is full.ALTERNATOR CHARGER SYSTEM
Your van is equipped with an alternator charging system that will charge the house battery any time the engine of your van is running. The system is designed to isolate the vehicle starting battery when the engine is off to prevent draining the starter battery.FUSES
Your van is equipped with a fuse panel built into the battery storage box. This panel holds breakers for your 110v power supply that can be reset if needed. It also holds automotive 5V, 10V and 20V fuses that are labeled and easily accessible/replaceable if one were to blow under high load circumstances. To access this fuse box, simply pull on the side of the plastic cover to expose the breakers and fuses. The fuses will be labeled on the cover of the fuse box. Extra fuses have been provided in your welcome bag, but these can be easily replaced at any hardware store.SINK SYSTEM
Your van has 7 gallons of fresh water under your sink. There’s also a 7 gallon grey-water jug under the sink that will need to be emptied regularly. You can fill your fresh water 7 gallon jug by detaching the quick-connect from your fresh water jug.The sink operates on an electric pump. The switch for the pump is located on the side of the cabinet to your right when standing at the sink. The pump only runs when the faucet is on. We recommend turning the pump switch off when not using the sink to prevent the possibility of leaks.WINTERIZING YOUR WATER SYSTEM TO PREVENT FREEZE DAMAGE
If you expect the temperature inside the van to drop below freezing, you should drain the water system. Start by disconnecting the hose from the 7 gallon clean water tank by pulling up on the quick-connect. Next, turn on your water pump and faucet to run the remainder of the water supply through the pump.Once the pump pulls all of your clean water out, turn off the water pump and using a hand towel or paper towel, wipe off any extra water that you may find on the quick-connect and base of the water pump. Then, disconnect both the intake and output hoses from the front and back of the water pump and allow to drain. Also, disconnect the black faucet hose at the attachment point near the base of the faucet.Store the van with the pump OFF and the faucet and rinse spigot OPEN to allow for freezing expansion. Any water left in the tanks may freeze. Ice in the containers melts very slowly and is difficult to remove. Ice in the containers will limit your ability to use the system when temps warm up.***Please understand that if this system freezes it could damage the pump, faucet and other fittings causing costly repairs.HEATER
The gas heater is located under the passenger seat and outputs toward the rear of the vehicle. The air that comes out is hot enough to melt plastic so please keep the vents, both front and back, clear of belongings while in use.The heater uses fuel directly from the vehicle fuel tank. If the fuel level is below ¼ tank, the heater may not be able to start so please ensure you keep it above that level if you plan to heat the van. Operating and troubleshooting instructions are provided in a the van user manual.
