1987 Scamp 13'
The Scamp is a full fiberglass, lightweight, easy-to-tow, easy-to-setup, four season, fun little camper. It is very hard to find a Scamp to rent (lucky you for finding this listing!) and if you are looking for something that you can pull with just about any vehicle, this is the one.Compact and cozy, this little fiberglass “egg” is great for couples or small families. The front sofa converts to bunk beds (best suited for kids or small adults) and the rear dining area converts to a double bed providing sleeping space for four people. My passion is helping travelers experience the beauty of Alaska warmly and comfortably. This camper strikes the perfect balance between tent camping and large RV travel as it keeps you warm and dry, provides hard shell protection while not being overly large and difficult to maneuver. The trailer hitch requires a 1 and 7/8” ball and the electric plug for the driving lights is a flat 4-prong. Check your setup and see if it’s compatible. I can loan a trailer hitch if requested but do not have adapters for the lights. The tongue weight is 100-120 pounds. I’m happy to answer any questions about how your vehicle will enjoy towing this simple camper. The trailer tongue rides about 14” from the ground in order to have the Scamp fairly level. Check to make sure your tow package has the proper hitch (flat or drop down etc) to be within 13-15” from the ground. If needed, I can provide drop hitches and the proper size tow ball. Just message me!The Scamp rents with a pot, pan, spatulas and spoon for cooking your favorite meal. A kitchen towel and cleaning supplies and other simple necessities are also provided to help you have the best adventure possible. If you’ve read this far and are interested in renting, please message me with details about your towing experience and a basic idea of what kind of trip you would like to take the Scamp on (general location). I will answer all messages sent my way and can’t wait to help you get on the road to your next adventure.Thank for reading and happy Scamping! What's includedPot, pan, cutting board, soap, sponge, kitchen towel and more!RecommendationsDenali National Park, Chena Hot Springs, local campgrounds, TalkeetaOther things to noteThe Scamp doesn’t love bumpy dirt roads so sticking mostly to pavement is recommended/required. Gotta take care of my girl!

I’m a lifelong Alaskan with a passion for nature, summer storms, the outdoors, intentional community and my own little urban farm. We raise ducks, chickens, goats, rabbits, dogs, guinea pigs and a garden. I love helping travelers see the beauty of Alaska from my little Scamp camper. The simple life is the best life.

It was great working with Rachel. She was super responsive and flexible. The scamp was just perfect for our needs. We were looking for something we could tow behind our Subaru and the scamp fit the bill!

We were first-time Skampers and will do it again. This little trailer was easy to hook up and hit the road in a jif. Bug-free, rain-free, and with a nice little two burner stove we could have coffee, cocoa, or a meal popped out in short order. The fridge worked great and the bed was just right for two, and we never made it into a table though we could have. The privacy curtains unrolled at night and were rolled up to let in sunlight. The interior, made brighter by the white interior, was appreciated as it was cheery unlike other trailers with dark wood paneling.
