I have lost confidence in the product I chose for testing.

This is a complete redesign of my previous test project, and also an experiment in trying to bring a proper 3D game into Scratch.

It's based on a popular indie game called "Slime Rancher". The concept is to have an open world where the player can collect slimes, grow food, and upgrade their ranch.

The game is still in early development, but the core mechanics are already working:
- You can move around and interact with the environment.
- You can collect slimes and place them in corrals.
- Slimes produce plorts, which can be sold for money.
- You can buy and upgrade corrals.
- You can grow food for the slimes.
- There are different types of slimes and food, each with their own unique behaviors and characteristics.

The most challenging part of this project was to create the 3D engine in Scratch. I used a custom renderer that uses a combination of raycasting and sprite manipulation to simulate 3D graphics. This approach allows me to render complex scenes with a relatively high frame rate, even on older computers.

The game also features a custom physics engine that handles collisions, gravity, and other physical interactions. This engine is still under development, but it's already capable of handling a variety of complex scenarios.

I am very excited about this project, and I believe it has the potential to be a truly unique and engaging game. I am committed to continuing its development and adding new features and content over time.

I would love to hear your feedback on the game. Please let me know what you think in the comments below!

Features:
- Open world exploration
- Slime collection and management
- Farming and resource management
- Ranch upgrades
- Custom 3D engine
- Custom physics engine

Future plans:
- More slimes and food types
- More ranch upgrades
- New areas to explore
- Story mode
- Multiplayer

I hope you enjoy playing Slime Rancher in Scratch!

Please note that the game is still in early development, so there may be bugs or unfinished features. I am working hard to fix these issues and add new content as quickly as possible.

Thank you for your support!

What is your product and what does it do?
This is a game, called Slime Rancher in Scratch. It's a 3D open-world game where players collect slimes, grow food, and upgrade their ranch.

What problem does it solve?
It brings a popular 3D game experience to the Scratch platform, which typically has limitations in creating advanced 3D graphics. It aims to offer an engaging and relatively complex game within Scratch's constraints.

What makes your product special?
Its custom 3D engine and physics engine are particularly special for a Scratch project, allowing for an open-world 3D experience that is generally uncommon on the platform. It's an ambitious attempt to replicate a real game's core mechanics and visual style in Scratch.

How does it work?
The 3D engine uses raycasting and sprite manipulation. The game features mechanics for moving, interacting with the environment, collecting different types of slimes, placing them in corrals, feeding them, collecting their "plorts" (products), and selling these plorts to earn money for upgrades and new items. Frequently asked questions

Q.

How do I use the air conditioner?

A.

The air conditioner requires shore power or the generator running. Please mind the quiet hours of the location you are staying. They frequently require generators turned off between certain hours.

I bought this motor home last fall so I could take my husband on some camping trips. He is a disabled Vietnam vet and needs the extra support of the motor home, no more roughing it for him. We decided to rent it out on Outdoorsy when we were not using it to help pay for the motor home and its upkeep.
