We've taken him all over Oregon, to this point!Other things to notePet's welcome! Our dog & adventure cats love Fern! If bringing pets, we ask for honest confirmation of pet vaccinations - we'd prefer to not require proof, and appreciate your honesty. No Smoking, No heavy off-road (rock climbing, driving through rivers, lol), No festivals or tailgating - please use Fern as an adventure home! Hello! I’m Christopher! Originally a Richmond, Va native now living in Oregon, I’m a small business owner, new experience lover, avid National-Parker (~25 so far!), and adventure dog/adventure cat dad! One of my favorite things to do is brave my way through National Parks at challenging times — hiking into the Grand Canyon during a blizzard, during a government shutdown, as an example. I love exploring the pop up towns & cities built at the feet of our country’s great outdoors, and I love to experience the food, drinks, and cultures at every mountain range between the Atlantic & Pacific. In 2021, my partner & I bought our first teardrop trailer, “Fern”, and have since fallen in love. We came to Outdoorsy to share Fern, in hopes that it gets other people into the open outdoors more frequently, without having to rely on weather, temperatures, or season.

Christopher was a great host, he gave us a great orientation and set us up well for our trip. The camper and it’s many features were very slick and made our road trip smooth and easy. Quick set up and tear down. We normally tent camp so this easy to maneuver camper was an awesome treat. Highly recommend!

Firstly, Chris was a gem to work with. He was prompt and courteous throughout communication and transaction. When we picked up the trailer, his walkthrough was incredibly thorough. He ensured we knew exactly what was available for us to use and how to use it! He heat sanitized the linens prior to our renting the trailer, which was nice to know especially given the current times. He was incredibly kind through the entire process, from the time we picked up to the time we dropped off, which was sadly only about 72 hours in total. Now for Fern. This was our baby moon prior to the arrival of our son, and we’re calling our vacation “Escape to Ferngully.” We’re no strangers to teardrop camping, but Fern went the extra mile. She handled forest roads and rocky terrain with ease. She was comfortable, and kept all of our belongings secure and tucked away. Super spacious, clever storage, and a few extras like the shower, and we wanted for nothing. We couldn’t have asked for best lodging on our trip to Crater Lake. Thanks, Chris and Fern!

Rented to learn more about teardrops, spent the weekend on the Oregon Coast. Owner went above and beyond fielding my questions about different makes/options. Trailer exceeded my needs/wants/expectations. Some notables: I have permanent VA disability for PTSD-related insomnia, and got the best sleep in a long time in both the trailer cabin and the rooftop tent. The road shower was great in spraying down sandy children, and my wife raved about the galley. I’m a life-long backpacker and cringe every car-camping trip from the logistics. Having an outfitted trailer greatly minimized the effort of prep, setup, and tear-down. 100% positive experience.

We rented Fern for a 3,200-mile road trip to Grand Tetons, Yellowstone and Glacier. We are usually tent campers but were looking for a convenient way to move camp every other day or so. The trailer was easy to tow and set up and we loved the kitchen. All the cabinets in the kitchen and interior of the trailer were so helpful for storing the items we'd usually have to repack into a bin or bag each time we switched campsites. As a family of four, we used both the trailer and tent and the kids loved having the choice of where to sleep each night. The mattresses in both were comfortable and we slept well after long days of exploring the parks. We especially appreciated Christopher's help through the whole process. He was prompt with his replies to all our questions beforehand, patiently walked us through all the details for setting Fern up and was helpful when we had an inquiry mid-trip. Overall, we'd recommend Fern to anyone wanting to experience outdoor life but with modern conveniences that can take some of the work out of tent camping.
