This 24' Salem camper layout was really designed for a couple, perhaps with a couple of kids, to have a comfortable camping experience. The dining area is a slide out, and like other campers, can be brought down for a full-sized bed.
The sofa also folds out to a queen-sized bed, and an extra memory foam cover can be provided to go with it. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, and also has an extra memory foam cover on the mattress. The bathroom has a corner shower that won't feel cramped, even for larger adults. There is a microwave with turn table, and the refrigerator is a 110 volt Whirlpool refrigerator/freezer. I've camped comfortably for weeks with 3 adult kids with me in this camper. Also provided will be light-weight dining ware for camping, which includes settings for up to 8, non-stick cookware, cooking utensils, wine/bottle opener, toaster, coffee maker, another electric pot for making hot water for tea, and kitchen linens. Also, the cleaning charge includes bedding set of pillow, sheets and comforter for master bed, bathroom linens of 3 large towels, 3 hand towels, and wash cloths.
There are low cost add-ons for additional bedding, should you need more than just the master bed, and there is an Coleman camp stove with gas bottles. This camper is good for full hookups for long stays, and for long weekends at state parks with water only electric hookup. For boondocking with no hookups, water and waste tanks are good for four days for a couple, with rationed use. My wife and I often do 4 day weekends at state parks with only electric hookup with it. The 110 refrigerator runs off of an inverter supplied by two batteries, but the 110 outlets and air conditioning requires 30 amp electric hookup.
What's includedThe kitchen is outfitted with non-stick cookware
• Large and small pots, 8 and 10 inch fry pans, cutting board plenty of cooking utensils
• Salt, pepper, some other seasonings
• Table setting for 6 (plates, cups, bowls)
• Dish washing necessities (dish soap, scrubbies, dish cloths, drying pad and rack)
• Some travel mugs for hot or cold, 6 camp chairs and a camp table, bedding for the master queen bed (pillows, sheets, comforter), toilet paper and paper towel, bathroom linens (3 sets of shower towels, hand towels and washcloth, soft soap in kitchen and bathroom. NOTE: If you have need for bedding beyond the master bed, additional sets are available as an add-on.
• I've used the camp table inside next to the dining table with the camp chairs as well for family board games for six of us when it is raining out. If you are unfamiliar with Central Illinois, and would like some advise of places to go and see, and you wish to use my camper, let me know. I'd be glad to give you a lot of ideas of things to see. Central Illinois has more to offer than people outside of Illinois think, and more than some Illinosians even realize.
RecommendationsThe Illinois river in around the Peoria area provides several peaceful riverside camping areas for a great getaway. Spotting of bald eagles is a common activity up and down the river, so bring binoculars and a willingness to explore the area. Other things to noteCampground planning along Illinois river with me providing setup can be arranged for additional fee for setup, complete with hookups, leveling, etc., and camp site. The camper is 5,500 lbs dry. If you wish to tow it yourself and have the vehicle to do it, I can provide the hitch, hookup, and sway and load control equipment.

Born in central Minnesota, I grew up in a large family that camped for vacations. Imagine 9 adults and one young child (me) packed into a 63 Ford station wagon with tent, camping gear, and our "stuff" for a two week travel across 14 states. I have usually camped for vacationing my entire life, including with my own family. I've camped in all the lower 48 states (and Canada), except for the New England states, which is on my "list". I've lived life on the road, taking my family on epic adventures, always putting on thousands of miles experiencing the North America, on vacations every year. From tents, to pop-up campers, to travel trailers, and now I live the vagabond life in a 5th wheel. I can help you plot a 2 week vacation that covers the Badlands of South Dakota, The Black Hills, Rocky Mountain National Park, and back again, all while spending multiple days at each location to explore. I've done 3 week trips that cover all of those, then the Arches in Utah, Four Corners, Grand Canyon, and everything on Route 66 from Flagstaff to Chicago. After leaving home at 18 from Minnesota, I have lived in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Pan Handle of Nebraska, Black Hills of South Dakota, in Detroit, several suburban areas of Detroit, the Ann Arbor area of Michigan, and now in Central Illinois. Where the Lord will take me next? Only He knows. I'm a descendant of Norwegian immigrants, and I believe that nomadic Viking blood is in me.
