The trip went great. First time driving an RV, drives just like a moving truck. Spent the weekend at Jay Cooke State Park and the heater made for a cozy autumn weekend of hiking and leaf peeping for four adults and a toddler. Sridhar has two backup cameras installed, and a system for running android/iphone apps - which was wonderful. Before the trip he was able to thoroughly explain how to use all of the comforts and features of the vehicle and seemed genuinely invested in our group having a good experience.

The Rig was perfect for our weekend, and came with everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. Highly recommend this rental, and so appreciate that Sridhar went over everything with us so we knew exactly what to expect on our trip so there were no surprises. Loved the Rig, and would definitely rebook in the future!

The owner was a delight to work with. He was very quick to respond to any of our questions and he made certain our rental experience went as planned. The operations of the Rig were perfect. All mechanical stuff worked great - a/c, fridge/freezer, generator. WE had to climb some pretty steep hills and it handled that with ease - there were no issues from the operations of the unit. (Have him show you the operations of the radio - that was operator error on our part).

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
reasonably flexible! i can drop off and pick up within 15miles of eden prairie, mn for an additional $50, which will cover both inbound and outbound trips.
i'm generally open to earlier pickup and later dropoff as well, within reasonable limits. a couple of hours each way is perfectly okay.
Q.What type of car/truck do you need to tow this trailer? What are the hitch requirements?
A.
this is a drivable RV, and not a towable. you could tow the rig, if you had a vehicle capable of pulling a 15000lb vehicle, preferably on a flatbed.
but where's the fun in that? the rig is meant to be driven, and is happiest when the engine is singing along at 55-60mph, with people enjoying themselves in the back.
(remember, most states prohibit alcohol in a vehicle such as this when moving)
Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
yep! each machine is unique, like every other machine.
when moving, the rig is happy at 55-60mph. any more than that and the engine tells you it's unhappy. plus, you waste good fuel, so why would you speed?
it's about the journey, and sometimes the destination.
when parked, the rig's slideout allows for a very comfortable large living + dining room. bonus points if you're plugged in to shore power... you can run the television / microwave / air-conditioner all day long.
Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
30 amp electric. an adapter to plug in to 15amps is available, but this may not provide enough power to run everything.
campground water can be hooked up, but please make sure to use the provided filter + hose (these are for fresh water only).
sewage is relatively straightforward. use the included brown hoses to hookup with the drain, open both gray and black valves and you're good to go. be very careful both when setting up and taking down the sewage system. see the movie "RV" as a guide :)
