Taylor and Patty founded Dove and Owl Cozy Camping Van Experiences because we are thrilled with this camping van community and want to make it available to others who might not want to take on the commitment of a van themselves. Might want to try something more flexible than a hotel or Bed & Breakfast. Our mission is to provide you with a comfortable, safe, and customized camping van experience to explore New England. Our style is offering an experience that is easy, promoting wellbeing and enjoyment. We enjoy the majesty of nature from the shore to mountain views and found there is no better way to promote peace than resting directly in nature. We want to share this wonderful experience with you. This camping van, named Butterbean, has been custom designed with comfort, high quality, and care in mind. Every aspect of van life rental has been taken into consideration to deliver a beautiful stay with ease. We like to think of our camping van as a New England Inn feel while being flexible to move to new destinations without having to repack. We make every effort to be thoughtful in our offerings from easy ready-to-go to luxurious packages. We want to provide you a service that goes beyond the van rental, being seen as helpful, trustworthy, and wise just as dove and owl represents us.

No reservations required. The RV lot was a couple of blocks away from the L.L. Bean Flagship Store. There were lights and it felt safe. It was quiet until about 9:00am, then other cars starting parking in the lot. Not much of a view, covered our windows during the stay. No amenities in the lot. Lots of options within walking distance. We plan to stay there again.Other things to noteWe have a strict no smoking or vaping policy. Violation of this rule will result in a forfeit of your security deposit. Under no circumstances should the vehicle be driven on off-roads, closed roads, or restricted roads. Doing so will be a breach of the Dove & Owl service rental agreement. The renter will be held responsible for any damage to the vehicle that results in misuse including driving on unpaved or unmaintained surfaces.

June 20225
My 13-year old son and I took Butterbean to Acadia for a long weekend, and it was a wonderful experience for us. Patty was very responsive and helpful and took time to patiently show us the many features of the van. Most everything is intuitive, but it was new to us and useful to have her share her experience. We parked overnight in both a national park and a WalMart parking lot and were comfortable and happy both places. The van is easy to drive and as we sat in it eating dinner one night we decided we probably wouldn't change anything at all about the setup if it were ours. A recommended experience with a child - camping made so easy they almost don't want to leave the cozy van.

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
We have an off-street parking spot in Cambridge for your vehicle while you're renting the van. We can also drop off the van up to 60 miles from Boston.
Q.If this is my first time using a camping van, what do I need to bring for my weekend camping experience?

Although this is not a room in a bed & breakfast, our goal is to offer that type of experience. We have made every effort to provide all your camping needs for an enjoyable camping experience. We can offer additional packages as dinners and breakfast with recipes to get you started. Just message us, we are happy to offer ideas.
Q.What are the water options in the van?
A.
We have a 5 gallon fresh water and gray water tank for the sink. The outside shower has a 15 gallon water tank. The cassette emergency toilet has 4 gallon black water capacity.
