VanWylder, a 2WD 2019 Mid roof Ford Transit 250, fully outfitted by VanLife Customs here in Denver, provides a perfectly balanced camping experience. You can access some pretty amazing spots (see our recommendations below), without feeling the stress of driving (or parking) a massive camper, yet feel the luxury of a sprinter. If you're relatively new to camping, or a seasoned veteran just wanting to share nature with your hesitant friend, Van Wylder is what's up.Set up camp and get a fire going, but use the two burner induction stove inside the van to prep a bit more of an elevated camping dinner. With a 20 gallon water tank and sink, dinner clean up is a breeze, and you can take a pretty legit post hike outdoor shower with the tankless water heater attachment in the back. Set up a little apres situation with the vibrant outdoor rug and chairs under the awning, and use the swivel table top mounted behind the driver's captain seat on the outdoor mount for a charcuterie or for more space to prep your meals. If you can't get completely off the grid and have to bang out a few emails, move the swivel table to the inside mount and adjust the dimmable lights overhead.
When it's time for bed, close the curtains, pop on the magnetic blackout curtains for the back windows for some extra peace and privacy, then climb into the queen size memory foam platform bed. We're the Blooms. Started off as Paige and Ted, now it's Hank and Carl our 2 cats, and 2 kids, Bash and Lucy. Originally from Philly (go Birds), we decided to move out west to give ourselves a new point of exploration. After renting a van from a rad couple in San Fran and doing van life for the first time up the coast to Seattle, we knew we wanted more, and we wanted to share the opportunity with others. Colorado is the perfect starting point to access so many great camping spots, and National Parks (so far Wylder has been to 12 and counting). We've been to both coasts with Wylder- from hot springs to ski huts, we'd love to help you plan your perfect trip!
