5This was our first time in a tow-behind RV. Tracy was super easy to communicate with and she made it easy to pick up/drop off and learn about her RV. It had everything we needed for a five-night stay. We appreciated extra room with the slide out, the comfy bed, and the fun aspen interior. Since we were boondocking at a Forest Service Campground, we didn’t hook up, and are glad we brought our own water jugs and that the campground had fresh water and vault toilets. The camper fridge kept things cold for 6 days. We pulled the trailer with our Ford F150 that has an upgraded towing package and things did just fine over the Colorado passes. We would definitely rent from Tracy again.

4My experience in the Rocky Mountains was overall good. I had a few issues with the RV, for example, the heater or thermostat. One night it did not stay on consistently and two nights later it wouldn’t turn off. I am still unsure what the issue was. But, it was difficult to completely relax on the vacation. The outdoorsy app sent me a message a day early that my trip was ending that day. That made me anxious as I was way up in the Rocky Mountains and would not be able to return the camper a day early. Overall, I had a great trip to the Rocky Mountains and will continue to use Outdoorsy. I just had a few more issues with this rental than I have in prior rentals.

Frequently asked questions
Q.
Can you provide a hitch and sway bars?
A.
Yes! We have both of these items for use free of charge/included with your rental.
Q.
Are you flexible with pickup and drop off times?
A.
Yes! Just message us with any special requests, and we'll confirm if we can accommodate.
Q.
Do I need to rent the generator?
A.
It depends. If you are boondocking (camping without power or water hookups), you will need the generator if you plan to use the microwave and/or air conditioning as they do NOT run off the battery). Generator rental includes unlimited hours, but time is limited to the full tank of gas we provide with that add-on. If you are camping at a spot with RV hookups for electricity, you should be able to use everything without the need for the generator.
Q.
Where is the closest dump station we can use before returning the trailer?
A.
Dakota Ridge RV Park located at 17800 W Colfax Ave, Golden, 80401. They are open every day from 8am-5pm, so please plan your return trip accordingly!
